Gone, Baby, Gone

Anyone seen this one? It's on in OV and I'm thinking about watching it. Is it worth it? (Deb, the missing child is called Amanda McCready. wink)

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

They bring stuff about it on TV all the time because of the case of that English girl. Maybe I'll watch it, but maybe not in OV. Don't know yet.

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

It didn't make much money here, but the reviews were really good.  I'll watch it on cable someday.  Not something I'd pay $9 to see because there's nobody in it that I love.

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

I heard a review on the radio this morning, they said it's a must-see. So I'm gonna go watch it. Maybe Rob'll come with me. I'll certainly ask him.

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

I watched it last night. A really good but also really depressing movie. But one that made me lie in bed and think about it for a little while. The casting was great, and I'm not only talking about the main characters. It gave the movie the atmosphere it needed.

I also had a bit of an Adam/Joan scene flash in one scene. I wish I could write it down and fit it into Butterflies.

Cool.  Well, I'll definitely watch it on DVD or cable then.  So Casey Affleck was good, huh?

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

I didn't like Casey that much, though, yeah, he was good. What really impressed me most was the people they cast as those in the background. You know, normal people out in the street. People that felt real (as in real social lower class people). They sure didn't use your average catwalk model or just slightly pudgy pretty boys and girls.

Just know that it's quite the opposite of a feel-good movie. I guess you can call it a feel-gloomy movie. Rob asked if I had a razor blade for wrist cutting when the credits rolled.

Thanks, Illinois. It's similar to the movie poster. But I'm not sure I liked it enough to want to buy it on DVD. At least not before they sell it for less than €10.

Re: Gone, Baby, Gone

I want the movie American Gun. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it for Christmas. It was on tv this past Tuesday but I missed it because I was in school when it was on. Does anyone know when it will be on tv again?
