The Wraith. LOL! Did you see where I posted that I made Nick Cassavetes groan by mentioning that one to him at UGA? It was really funny.

In my defense, I grew up in the 90s, it was full of stupid movies and ruined any taste in film I may have had
The Good Girl
The Prince and Me
Herby Fully Loaded
From Justin to Kelly
The Break Up
anything with Freddie Prinze Jr.
many more that I've blocked out of my memory
Television:
October Road
Charmed

October Road can't be a guilty pleasure because it's actually GOOD.

It's not horrible, but it's definitely not good. Face it, we only liked it for the pretty boy in the background

Not true. I liked the whole show.

Yeah, so did I to an extent... but Ronnie was my main reason, at least in the second season.

I think Breakdown is actually an excellent movie. But I have to agree that 1941 & The Prince and Me are guilty pleasures for me.

Joan: So, my true nature is to be a catalyst? That is mad anti-climatic.

Here is a "good" one, I really enjoyed Not Another Teen Movie

I loved that movie!

Herby Fully Loaded
From Justin to Kelly
I also like Herbie: Fully Loaded.
I also like some of the songs in Justin to Kelly. Kind of dumb dialogue though, which I just skip over and watch the dance routines.
Offline
The dialog was the best thing about Justin to Kelly. The horrible writing almost made the even worse acting seem sub-par.

I just checked my DVD shelf, and I didn't find that many movies that I'd consider guilty pleasures. What comes to mind is Last Samurai (the one with Tom Cruise) and Meet Joe Black. If The Island is a guilty pleasure, then add it to the list. (I wouldn't have considered it one.)

I do think guilty pleasures have alot to do with where and when you saw them. I have very fond memories of Rookie of the Year and High School Musical 2 because I watched them with my kids and they enjoyed them so much. But here are a few more:
Brewster's Millions
Streets of Fire (I had a crush on Diane Lane back then)
the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre
A Cinderella Story (no excuses for that one)

Rick, you've got another one from my list (though I am not guilty about it) Streets Of Fire. I've seen it like a hundred times, own the soundtrack and just love it to pieces. It's chock full of actors I dig and the music is just flat-out incredible.

Well, I too have the soundtrack, and I still play it in my car.

I remember when they would always play that music video from Streets of Fire on tv. Good song.
Speaking of Meet Joe Black. I bought that when it first came out and I still have not seen the entire movie all the way through. I just can't find 3 hours to watch it, and if I did have 3 hours to spend watching a movie I would probably watch one of the LOTR films first.
I like Last Samurai as well, but I think that got good reviews and did fairly well at the box office. So I wouldn't really consider it a guilty pleasure.
Now I remember one that I used to watch on "ONTV" (Over the air cable that was here in Chicagoland in the early 1980's). Heartbeeps with Andy Kaufman. Used to watch it all the time. Still need to buy that on dvd.

it's nothing better then a guilty pleasure.
i have nothing to say in my defence about liking theese ones :
dirty dancing : havana nights - still think diego luna is hot :embarrassed:
lots of cartoons - i used to have " jungle book " as a tape. now i have it as cd and i also have " 101 dalmatians " and " the aristocats "
10 things i hate about you :embarrassed:
harry potter
karate kid ( the original one - god i can't belive but i still like this one and i am able to watch it again and again. sometimes i wonder about my iq ??? )
pretty in pink and the breakfast club
and of course a very embarrassing one that is not about movies : i still like the songs from new kinds on the block - somehow they always bring me back to when i was 12-14

Haven't seen Havana Nights, but I like almost every movie on your list (wan't a big fan of the first Harry Potter, but I liked harry potter 2 and 3 and 4)
And Karate Kid, Jungle Book, and 101 dalmations are classics.

OK, let's approach this a little bit differently... What's the one movie you LOVE that you're ashamed to tell people about? Mine would be Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, starring Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees. I have been insane for that movie since I first saw it when I was 14. It's definitely one of the worst movies ever made, but I just adore it. Oddly, it's kind of cool to love Xanadu, and I do too. There's a new special edition of that on DVD. But I think it's even worse than Sgt. Pepper.

Deb, that is a perfect choice. I think the most hated movie that I love is Return to Oz. But so few people have seen it that I don't get much flack for that one. How about this, I've watched Caddyshack 2 more than once (in fact I think I have seen it 4 times), so I must like it, and it is definately terrible.

I get a kick out of "So I Married An Ax Murderer" - easily one of the worst things Mike Myers has ever done. It's one of those I always watch when I find it with the remote control. I LOVE "1941" And I like the Steve Martin "Father of the Bride" movies, but I don't tell everybody that.:embarrassed:;)

Here's one, Tuff Turf. Terribly cheesy exploitation movie. But weeeeiiird. Just the casting alone is seriously nuts: James Spader, Robert Downey Jr, Kim Richards. Teen gangs in LA. The most goofily bizarre aspect is the choreographed dancing to The Jim Carrol Band and Jack Mack & The Heart Attack. The soundtrack also features Maryanne Faithful, Lene Lovitch and Alice Cooper. I love this freakin' movie!
