Good luck Anne! Interviews are only scary if you psych yourself out beforehand, so don't think too much! I'm sure you'll do great.

Yeah, try to take a deep breath if you get too anxious and always remember that they just wanna get to know you, see if they think you'll fit in with their team and be able to learn the job they want you to do.

Oh, I wasn't that anxious this time! The interview went really great! That guy was very impressed of my CV, because I did an internship in Ireland and some other stuff. This will not be a design job, but it would be in a printery, so I could learn what does happen to all that design stuff AFTER it was designed. That's interesting too and I know about that, but only in theory.
I still don't know if they will hire me, BUT at least I'll have an internship for somewhat like 2 or 3 months. And after that they may hire me. That's big progress and I am, like SOOOOO happpy about that! :):)

Thanks. The guy said he'd call my class tutor today, but he didn't. Well, that could have a reason, maybe he was too busy or something. I'll wait one or two days and if he still doesn't call, I'll call him.

Woohoo. You might have read it already in the Chrissue of the Day Thread, but I'll post it here too:
Great news! I got the internship! Wow! Something's happening finally! :dancing:
I must have impressed that guy very much. LOL
Internship starts on 6/14. I'm exited. Chances are good that they'll hire me afterwards.

Thanks. Today I signed the internship contract. I'm still happy and exited. I can't wait to start!

Will you get any money? I hope you didn't sign any contract where they will extort you for incredibly long hours for an incredibly low pay or something. And I hope it's not gonna be two (or however many) months of only coffee making, xeroxing and running errands.

No, the internship is without money, but there is the chance that they'll hire me for a real job afterwards.
It's a family business and the boss was very nice, so I don't think it's just three months of coffee making, xeroxing and running errands. They said they needed a new employee and they are willing to train me for that. (Did I just translate that right? I'm not sure, sorry.) Like I said, the boss is really nice, he seems like a guy who actually cares about his employees. It should be a good job for an entrant.

So, Anne, how was the first day of your internship?

Well, it was kind of a false start because the night before yesterday I got a really heavy nosebleed, so my mom had to call the company to tell them she was going to bring me to the doc's and well, now I am sick for at least two days, that means I am going to start on Monday.
You can't imagine how much that SUCKS right now!!! I mean, I was healthy during two years of f******* joblessness and NOW when I finally get the chance to work, I have to get sick. Grr.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you'll feel better soon. Being sick sucks. I'll cross my fingers for Monday, then.

Okay guys, Day 1 is over. They were all very nice and I am happy to finally be there. Couldn't do very much today, because it was my first day and I had to learn about their workflow and programs and all that stuff, but tomorrow I am going to get some work. And FINALLY I am going to work on a Mac again!

Until September 21. But I didn't tell them about July 6 yet. Still need to do that, but I didn't want to do that on the first day.
