You can see Michael onscreen with Dakota Fanning!
No, not in New Moon, although it's a distinct possibility. I'm talking about the small screen. Michael and Dakota played brother and sister on an episode of Malcolm in the Middle that first aired on January 21, 2001 (Michael was 13).
It will air on Tuesday 3/3 at 2 PM Eastern and again on Wednesday 3/4 at 7 AM Eastern on FX.

I finally had the chance to sit down and watch Twilight again and also check out all the DVD extras. I actually liked the movie better the second time around. It's not that I disliked it when I first saw it, but somehow I appreciated it more the second time.
As to the extras, I think the Mike fans won't be too happy. I have the 3-disc edition from Target, and Mike's only really in one little behind-the-scenes thing that's something like "From Book to Screen". He's goofing around with his co-stars, but it's only maybe two or three minutes. I'm actually disappointed because wasn't there talk about them having quite a few funny Michael things in the DVD extras? Like him dancing or something? Or am I just imagining that?
FYI, the DVD has a copy protection that seems pretty resilient.

That's a bummer there's not many extras with Mike in Twilight.

Apparently, the Borders special edition has a featurette called Capturing the Action that includes more of Michael. Looks like, as a Michael fan, that's the special edition that you should be getting. However, I think that was also the most expensive one of all the different special editions out there.

Three editions with different stuff? How retarded. Doesn't that piss you guys off? How's anyone supposed to figure out which one to buy? All this does for me is make me care even less if I ever see the movie. Which is sad because I'd probably like it.

A friend of mine is getting the Borders Edition. Maybe I can ask her if she's going to show me the extras. But she said it'll take a while until she gets it.

There's way more than three editions. At least five, I think. Honestly, the Borders edition was never part of the equation for me. It's too expensive for stuff I don't even want. If special features aren't important to you, you can buy the single disk at Wal-Mart for 17 bucks, but for 99 cents extra you can get a disk of special features. Target having the three disk one on sale for 17.99 made me land on that one. You get the most for your money.
It all depends on what you want.

Wonder which one Netflix will rent. I'm not interested in buying it blind.

My guess is that Netflix will probably rent either the generic 1-disc or the 2-disc edition. Unless they have some special deal with one of the chains that did all the special SPECIAL editions. I do think it's retarded (dee dee dee) to do a gazillion different editions. I liked the Borders one, and I would have gotten it if it was less expensive. No way I'm spending $40 on a DVD of a single movie! Even if they'd sold it for, like, $30, I still think that's too expensive. I'm happy with the Target one I got for $18, except that I think it would be neat to have seen the extra feature with Michael.

I really hope someone eventually uploads that special feature with Michael in Twilight.

Okay, I've been talking nonsense. The Twilight special feature that Michael Welch is in is on DVD 2 of the 2-disc special edition. It's not the Borders special edition. It's on my edition too. Sorry for the confusion. Also, I think the Borders special edition doesn't come out until middle of April, unless I got that wrong too.
If you're looking for the thing with Michael, it's on the Special Features DVD. The feature is called The Adventure Begins: The Journey From Page To Screen. Michael is in the sub-feature called Capturing The Action: A Look At Production.
