Illinois Governor taken into Federal custody

All the local news channels are reporting that our Governor was taken into Federal custody this morning.

Likely the charges will be announced later today.

This is the second Governor in a row that has been arrested, first was Ryan.

On a side note, I really wish that Chicago mayor Daly would be arrested. Even though he's a Democratic, I can't stand him. He closed up Meig's Field in Chicago with no notice and did so in the middle of the night. Basically he had people go in at night and ripped up the runways. The FAA fined Chicago for doing so, and of course the tax-payers paid that.

I actually like the Governor.

I just got through reading about your governor, Illinoisguy.  How strange.  I think they're saying that he put Obama's senate up for sale.

I agree with you about Daly.  I don't know anything about the Meig's Field situation, I just don't think any one family should hold so much power for so long.  I think it's a very American thing to occasionally want to "throw the bums out".  ISadly sometimes when we do it, we get a newer crop of bums.)

A family of politicians are very suspicious. They have the greatest tendency to be corrupt and bossy.

Well he (The Gov.) was impeached recently.

So we now have a new Gov.
