Re: The Invisible

Loading it up now.  Can't wait to watch it.  Yay!  No more thick beard.  And I don't think he's butchered his hair any further than it was in January.  Well, he's still scruffy and it's the hair's still short, but he looks mahvelous!  Downright Linusy, you might say.

Thanks for posting it, Brenna.  I had trouble getting on the net much today.  Very busy.  Just now finally sitting down for the evening.  Well, that's not completely true.  I still have to give Lacey her three different eye drops and make some dinner.  But not till I watch this interview.

OK, all loaded up.  Here we go...

AWESOME!  It was jerky for me so I'll make Joe let me watch it at work tomorrow on a faster connection, but it was great!

And TeeJay, serious eyebrow action.

But he really is a bit scatter-brained, isn't he, our sweet boy?  December?  It was the end of January when he was in Florida.  I wonder if he even knows what day it is half the time.  LOL.

Hey, what's that cool ring on his right index finger?  Hmmmm....

Dude, stop saying Fanboys might get moved again!!!!  Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Yep, we saw how nice Kyle is and we totally saw them shooting the shit.

Awwww, isn't it adorable how secretive he's still trying to be about the new project?

Oh, yeah, I loved the guy saying it was great that he's in a movie that's actually RELEASED.  Feel our pain, dude.  Feel it.

Still, I'm all...:dancing:

Re: The Invisible

Mick Davis --- the writer of both the American and Swedish versions of the movie --- told me on IMDb tonight that he was on his way out to a "screening/premiere thingie".  I'll check Wire Image tomorrow, but I don't think it's a typical big Hollywood Premiere type event.  Unless Chris was somehow mistaken.

But even if its just a small thing, Chris is on the big screen in two movies tonight --- somewhere.

Re: The Invisible

I just read the interview and watched the IESB one. Great stuff. Chris didn't come across that "all over the place" to me. I think he just is like that. Scatterbrain. tongue And maybe that was the gazillionth interview he did that day. Love the text interview too. I'm gonna put up a link in our interviews section when I have time.

I just e-mailed the IESB guys to ask if we could put a link to it on our site. I noticed that they especially said you're not allowed to host it without permission. I wasn't gonna host it, but I think it might be better to ask up front. I'm counting on them being nice about it. (I made sure to mention that we love them for giving us the first Fanboys trailer too.)

I don't know what to think when Chris said that the Fanboys release date isn't set in stone. I think he was just being careful. I'm not too worried at this point. Good thing I haven't booked any flights yet. Don't think I will until I get some halfway reliable confirmation that the release date is gonna hold.

Re: The Invisible

Something must've happened.  He told ME that it looked like it was solid this time.  By the time this movie ever comes out, I'll be so fed up I won't care.  But that just whiny, dead-tired me talking.  Maybe I'll feel better this weekend when I have three glorious days off in a row.  We'll see.

In the meantime, bite me, Harvey.

Re: The Invisible

Well, looks like the date isn't solid after all. Or let's just say, looks like the date is most definitely not solid, but of course I won't freak until I've read any official confirmation. The Weinstein site still says August 17. What are they so freaking afraid of. And maybe we should take this over to the Fanboys thread...

Re: The Invisible

WOW!  Love that interview.  He was really relaxed, wasn't he?  And very open.  We got a couple of crumbs we've never heard before.  Sweet!  Another great treasure from our resident web archaeologist, Brenna!  Gotta love those guys at Collider.  They do some great interviews.

I gotta tell you guys I just got off the phone with my best friend, Steph.  She lives in Kentucky and she had the job from hell for five years.  It was stealing her soul.  And I never got to talk to her.  She called me tonight, we talked for two hours.  She was in a great mood because she quit that crap job and got one that she had applied for that she really wanted, more up her alley.  It was great to hear her so happy.  And I got to tell her all the great website stuff since Orlando.  She was tickled for us and complimented the site again from when she'd seen it before.

From LA.com...

Guy's

Phone: (310) 360-0290

Scene: Celeb, Industry Scene, Singles Scene
Features: Hip-Hop, R&B, Live Music, Patio, Rooftop, Pop, Mainstream, Smoking, Velvet Rope
Parking: Valet

At first, Guy's seems like an exclusive bar open only to young Hollywood elite, CAA assistants, or people who look like they're on "The Hills." Don't be discouraged: they may be exclusive, but they're a welcoming bunch.

Tucked into an unremarkable block near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Beverly Center, Guy's is easy to miss unless you know to look for it—and that's just how the clientele and management like it. The intimate space and all-black interior enhance the privacy Guy's prides itself on, but the really juicy drama always manages to leak out, like the time Lindsay Lohan freaked out when Danny Masterson wouldn't let her into his weekly Sunday jazz night Kid's Cotton Club. And while Christina Aguilera has been known to jump up and sing along with the jazz band, no one is allowed to sing one of her songs during karaoke night, which takes place most Tuesdays—not even Nicole Richie, who has been known to belt out quite a tune while wearing her underpants over her jeans. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are fans of Guy's, as are the NBA's finest players. But the ballers and the power players are balanced out by a regular crowd of in-the-know locals who slide right past the velvet rope so long as the pearly whites are showing. And a little cleavage never hurts.—Tara Tyson

Re: The Invisible

Thanks for digging all this up, guys! Awesome! I just feel like I'm being overwhelmed by all of it, having been away from home for a couple of days and going away again where I only have limited internet access. Seems like I picked the worst possible time for that, and that's also where my work is concerned. Ah well... I'll listen to the interview when I get home as well.

Re: The Invisible

Here's a few non-spoilery words about The Invisible...

It's not the greatest movie ever but it's entertaining.  Chris is not in it a whole lot, but he's in it enough and he has some nice moments.  Major TDA.  No rubber face.  Definitely a sad-sack character.  The way Chris described him in interviews is perfect.  He's a spineless twerp, if you wanna know the truth.  Contrary to what that one person lead me to believe, Pete's involvement in what happens to Nick is not about the money Nick has stashed.  It's about his spinelessness.  So I guess I feel even more sorry for Pete in a way, but I also wanna slap him.

Probably my favorite moment in Chris's performance is the scene where he breaks up into that beautiful, hearty laugh of his that we so rarely get to see.  Too bad there wasn't a little more of that.

BTW, there's a reason for those dark circles under his eyes in the Broody!Pete shot.  And it ain't because he's sad.

And this is actually quite an emotionally shocking moment in the movie that I absolutely loved...
TheInvisible_Featurette_06.jpg

I'll try to think of more non-spoilery things I can tell you, TeeJay.
