Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Also just wanted to announce that i saw my first episode EVER of JoA last night. Sadly it was the first episode and Chris wasnt even in it, but still looks like a pretty cool show. That and Michael Welch is awesome smile Such a cutie

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

That's the only ep he's not in, Kate.  Starting with that next ep, he's in every single one, though in some it's not very much.  The next ep in sequence though, where we meet him is really, really cool.  One of my favorites.

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Right now, it's 8:10 PM. What time is where you are?  Let's nail this time difference down.

I also want to say about Adam that he does not remain as he is when we first meet him, not really.  Similar, but better.  It just took them about 12 eps to figure out who he really was supposed to be.  His backstory is heartbreaking and used very effectively to shape him.  He grows.  He gets smarter and stronger.  And eventually... Well, I think I already warned you not to spoil yourself if you want the authentic experience of falling for Adam.

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Exactly, i have purposely not read the JoA section of this website and trying to avoid it at the moment. Its tempting to check out but its like getting a new book and turning to the back page and reading it. You will end up knowing what happens but its never going to be as fun the first time watching it. Ok its 10:10 am Thursday 7th. I think that makes it Melbourne is 14 hours ahead of you. Time difference dilema SOLVED!

Kewl!  Sounds about right too.  Have you had any luck finding any more JoA eps?

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Oh trust me, i cant wait to watch it and then post about it myself! I am such an impatient person by nature...

So.....JoA verdict, well i was lucky enough when i got home last night to have the next 2 epsiodes done and waiting for me to watch them. And yeah i can see why it took awhile to love Chris in this. His introduction is kinda cool though. The way he wants the principal to think he is a druggie so he wont be pressured about anything else. I can see myself getting really hooked with this. But i actually really love Michael Welch in this. So Chris is good but im not too sure about his artwork, and then the 3rd he was just in the background. Though i did find it cute his reaction to Joan saying she liked the athletic jock guys. So yes at the moment i am really enjoying JoA but (and please dont hate me for this)....but right now this doesnt really have all that much to do with Chris. I only have good things to say about the cast so far, but i definitely have a soft spot for Michael Welch. He is so so SO cute in this.

I think you're gonna like the next episode, "The Fire and the Wood".  It takes a while before Adam really becomes himself, but it's still a great introduction.  To Grace, too.

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Kate, I totally get what you're saying about Adam so far.  We all do.  I think he's unrelentingly adorable in the next one for you, The Boat, 1X4.  But it starts to get really good in Death Be Not Whatever, ep 7.  Eight, The Devil Made Me Do It, is great too, very Adamcentric.  And don't worry, you don't have to like his art.  It's definitely weird.  LOL!  big_smile

Re: Kate's Spoiler-Free JoA Discussion Thread

Well hey, i like the fact that the character is passionate about his art. But not a fan of the actual art itself honestly. Yeah fingers crossed i will be able to watch some more episodes over the weekend. But its got me hooked already so i dont doubt i will be watching it. However i have to fit this around a 21st, bridesmaid dress shopping, welcome home party, and Mother's Day. GAH! So busy at the moment, but i am fairly certain i will be watching at least another 1 or 2 episodes and will log onto here to check things out smile

I think that Adam's art can be weird but that's why I love it so much! Anyways, I hope you get around to watching all of the JOA episodes from both seasons very soon.

Actually, I wish you hadn't done that.  I was trying to keep her OUT of the JoA section because I don't want her getting spoiled before she gets to see the show.

Hey, you know what? I could probably lock Kate out of the JoA section until she's seen the whole show. That way she won't get tempted to read spoilers. You want me to, Kate?

LOL!  Now, that would be funny.  I don't think you have to worry about her though.  She's seems pretty determined to go through it unspoiled.  Right, Kate?
