Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

oh oh oh and also....the reason i absolutely adore the fray

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OzaFpNdXVQ

This is from this year So You Think You Can Dance Australia. I am not a very emotional girl normally but this dance was so so beautiful that i did get a little teary watching it. The guy ended up coming second, the girl would have gone far too but ended up breaking a rib during rehearsals so had to leave the competition completely!

*edit* -- I am so totally going to see them perform next month with my mummy! Excitement plus....they are all such beautiful dancers

Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

Hehehe I do I do...but i am curious as to why especially me. I have such a soft spot for when a menial task can be turned into a way that you can show a couples closeness. I think its even more romantic than the whole buying flowers and chocolates thing.

Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

Actually, I got it mixed up with a different letter.  My bad.  I was thinking of "S", which also involves a makeover of sorts.  And that one, you will especially like.   tongue

Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

BTW, I wanna ring in and say that I loved all these stories.  I haven't been commenting because since I BETA read the whole set, I already told TeeJay that I loved them.  But I should probably say something publicly too just in case anyone actually gives a crap how I feel.  She did an awesome job with this challenge in my opinion.

Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

I'm gonna have to put the Alphabet Soup project on hold for a few days (maybe longer) due to the fact that both my close friends Ralf and Diane are currently in the hospital after that freak lightning strike accident I posted about in the Randomness thread. Between driving to the hospital and trying to organize things for Ralf, Andreas and Diane, my mind is currently occupied with anything but fan fiction. I also temporarily inherited the task of website admin of Marc's big Fantasydays website while Ralf isn't able to do it, so I'm gonna go back to my daily posting schedule, once things approach a state that's a little closer to normal.

I'm so sorry about your friends, TeeJay.  What a freak accident!  Hope their lives (& yours) get back to normal soon.

Re: Alphabet Soup - Joan of Arcadia Style

Thanks, Kate. Don't worry, you're not prying. smile

Andreas and Ralf are out of the hospital. Andreas is doing well, he's back at work. Ralf is still recovering from several little things, but he's getting there. Slowly. Diane has been hit the hardest, she's had to have skin transplants on her legs. However, the good news is that they woke her from the artificial coma, so I'm gonna go see her on Tuesday. She's gonna be okay again eventually, but of course she's gonna have the burn scars for the rest of her life. I don't know how serious they're going to be, her brother said it's mostly on her arms and legs. Guess I'm gonna see for myself tomorrow. She's gonna have to stay in the ICU for a few more weeks and it'll probably be months before she's released from the hospital. All we can all do now is support her as best as possible.
