Friday the 13th remake

I watched it last night. It was nowhere near as entertaining as the original, which was released nearly thirty years ago !! I know that I probably shouldn't like "slasher" movies, but I did always enjoy seeing them with a large crowd (at a movie theatre, natch), where people would be shouting at the screen and jumping occasionally, although most Friday the 13th films are not scary at all, just goofy. Still, I like them, and a few pretty decent actors have appeared in them. Kevin Bacon, for example, and the demented Crispin Glover.

Re: Friday the 13th remake

I love Crispin Glover.  That guy's nutz.  Did you happen to see the remake of Willard, Shell?  As a fan of the original (and Bruce Davison in general), I was skeptical.  But because it was a Morgan & Wong movie and Crispin played lead, I had to check it out.  The DVD is great fun. There's a very cool documentary on there for anyone who likes Crispin or Morgan & Wong or Kristen Cloke, who was originally supposed to play the female lead, but she got pregnant.  Since she's Mrs. Glen Morgan she was onset almost every day and the documentary therefore has the effect of a Morgan family home movie.  It's a hoot.  Everyone just really seemed to have fun with it.

Re: Friday the 13th remake

Totally understandable.  I feel the same way about snakes.  I won't want anything about them.

Re: Friday the 13th remake

I'm going to rent Friday The 13th remake soon. I have the remake of Willard. I like it even though I hate rats!
