True Blood

Any fans?
I didn't get HBO until after the first season ended, and then I watched reruns, at first I thought it was just hilbillies and vampires. But then I fell in love with it! It's thrilling, scary, gross, sexy, funny, all of the above!

Does anyone else love the intro song, I downloaded it and I think it's perfect for this show!

Re: True Blood

Yes!   And yes!   I thought about starting a thread, but I don't think anyone else on here is watching.  Who cares?  We'll keep it going.  I love this guy's recaps...

If you like that one, just click on his name to get to the rest.  He posts them on Mondays.

The show is amazing, the opening song sequence is just fantastic.  It's so much more than I ever hoped it would be.  I'm completely intoxicated by it.

Yay! I'm glad someone on here shares my infatuation with this show!
Who is your favorite character, vampire and nonvampire?

I love how their songs incorporate with something that happens, like the Scratches episode I laughed soo hard at the song in the end credits! that was GENIUS!

Re: True Blood

Gosh, I love lots of them.  I am so glad they kept Lafeyette even though he died in the books because she kills me!  I love Jason because I feel sorry for him and let's face it, he's just hot.  I dig Terry.  I'm enjoying Jessica's life as a fledgling.  Of course I love Bill and Sam and Sookie and Tara.  I don't trust Eggs at all, but he is really charming, too good to be true.  Eric and the gang at Fangtasia are a hoot and man that ep with the creepy Magister played by the creepy Zeljko Ivanek?  Wow.  This show is just too delicious.  They made me fall for Rene last year, and look how that turned out.  Everybody on the show is just so damned entertaining, you know?

Re: True Blood

Lafayette is in my top 3, that guy can do everything! I knew it wasn't him in the cop car, I could tell by the leg and I knew that would be too easy for Alan.

Jason, hmm what can I say a/b him, he's naive cute and just trying to discover himself.

Jessica is hilarious!!!! What she made Leon say.. typical rebelling teenager!

Hoyt, he's a good guy and I think him and Jess make a really cute innocent-ish couple.

Eric is yummy! have u noticed how tall he is compared to Bill??? I think they overdo his makeup sometimes tho.

Ahh Bill and Sook,Stehpen Moyer and Anna Paquin, I like that they are a couple in real life. I love how Bill is traditonal and so proper.

I melt when I see Sam and when he shifts into that dog, I like that he's with Daphne now but I have a feeling she's some kind of weird monster freak.

Which episode with the creepy Magister?

Re: True Blood

The ep where Bill was forced to make Jessica a vampire.  God, that guy is just perpetually creepy in everything.

Re: True Blood

I think she's using the bacchanalian energy to whip herself up into that monster that attacked Sookie.  And that Daphne is in cahoots with her somehow.  And I think she also impregnated Tara with some kind of mystical creature when Tara got it on with Eggs.  I don't know, it's just craziness and I try to let it happen as Alan wills it and not get spoiled because the surprises are what make it so much fun.

Re: True Blood

I think they're about to show their scary paramilitary inner core.  And it'll be all about doing violence to vamps, with no regard for human casualties.  Or worse, about attacking humans, pretending to be vamps to stoke the anti-vampire hate.  The latter would be more Alanesque.   I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Re: True Blood

I think it'll come to Jason having to decide wat side he wants to be on and he'll choose to be on Sookie's side. I agree, I think they will do w/e it takes to enrage humans to attack vamps.

Re: True Blood

That's definitely where it's headed and he will choose the non-crazy side of tolerance.  This show really could not have come at a better time, metaphorically speaking.

It's been so much fun talking to you, Rochelle.  I gotta crash though.  It's 1 AM and I gotta be up at 7.  So glad you joined us here.  'Night...

Re: True Blood

Not this season, no.  It has been a monster hit for HBO so far this year.  But it's always wonderful to hear that official announcement of renewal.  big_smile

Re: True Blood

Yeah, the way they left it last week was infuriating!  Talk about your cliffhangers!  I try to stay away from spoilers with this show and I haven't read any of the books yet, so I don't know how they're going to get out of the situations they've set up.

Re: True Blood

I know! Like the past 3 episodes before hard hearted hannah had just been building up to this and now it's like too much to fathom. Have u seen the previews? They showed elaborate previews a couple days go... it was creepy, they showed Maryanne as the bull thing chasing Sam, truely freaky.

Re: True Blood

I'm extremely curious a/b Eggs and Daphne... I wonder if the poison can like control you or something. They wanna sacrifice Sam for what? Soo many questions and I thought i saw Eric in bed with sookie:o and then also he was tied down and I'm guessing for the day of the sun ritual or w/e it was called?

Re: True Blood

Yeah, I think Eric is gonna be the vampire they try to "crucify".  I think/hope Eggs is basically innocent of any real evil.  But not Daphne.  She has been "acting" since day one.  She's not that dumb, or that sweet.  Obviously.  Poor Sam.
