Re: True Blood

I knew there was something about Sam Trammell that was so familiar that just made me instantly like him no matter what stupid shit Sam Merlotte does.  He reminds me of one of my absolute favorite musicians in the world, Nik Kershaw...

Re: True Blood

I have always loved his song "Wouldn't It Be Good;" its a great tune.

Deb, have you ever heard this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8f2mW1GFSI

I could be wrong, but I think that Nik Kershaw wrote it.

Re: True Blood

Yes, Nik did write that one.  He and Chesney worked together for years.  I love the stuff they did together.  Nik has worked with Elton John a lot too.

Re: True Blood

So tonights episode ruined my life. I loved Godric... I cried for about 10 minutes straight. However the Sookie/Eric dream sequence was incredible and so was Lafayette just generally being his awesome self.
Lafayette is definitely my favorite human character, it was official from the moment he said "who ordered the aids burger?" in the first season. Thank god they decided to differ from the books and keephim around!

Re: True Blood

I feel EXACTLY the same way about everything you just said.  And I cried too.  Wow.  That was an amazing episode of television.  I'm so glad you're watching too, Samantha.

Re: True Blood

Oh and Deb I share your feelings on Rene in the first season. See I haven't read the books yet I'm borrowing them from a friend now but that whole revelation at the end up season one took me by suprise. Until that point I really liked his character.

As for the vampires I am all about Eric. Bill creeps me out a little and I'm not sure why. It isn't the character it's the actor himself.

Re: True Blood

I'm still disappointed that Rene was the killer.  sad

I'm starting to shift my loyalties from Bill to Eric a bit too, because Sookie apparently is really feelin' it, as much as she doesn't want to.  I'm not reading the books.  I'm just enjoying the show.  I love Lafeyette too much to read the books.  Know what else I love?  That scene with Jason and Sookie in the hotel room.  She was luminous in this ep and I can't help having a soft spot for Jason. It was really sweet.  Hoyt and Jessica were great too.  Hate his mom.  It was a great ep.  A lot happened.  And Sam, getting to LITERALLY be a fly on the... well, table?  Effin' priceless!

Have you seen any Godric pics anywhere.  Not the actor, but the character?  I need a pic!

Re: True Blood

Godric!! <3 Sorry I was at work all day so I didn't get a chance to respond but I had never found any Godric photos anyway! What actor play him? He looks so familiar...

I agree about the Jason and Sookie scene as well, it made me tear up a bit. That Jason Stackhouse...he screws everything up royally but yet he somehow manages to redeem himself every time...

Re: True Blood

Jason's basically a good soul, I think.  He's very easily lead around by the nose, obviously, but he almost always means well.  I can't remember the actor's name who plays Godric, Allan something.  I'm not interested in him.  I just want pics of Godric.  A shirtless one, preferably!  I really wanna see his tats, don't you???

Re: True Blood

Sundays episode was so short sad

it was really good though! Especially Jason impersonating a God. Terry was hilarious.

Re: True Blood

Well, it's great to see you back.  smile

It actually made me mad that it was so short.  But it was definitely a lot of fun.  Jason's absolutely fierce in that ep!  Terry's always been a favorite of mine so I love seeing him get more to do.  And we got a nice dose of Sassy!Lafeyette, which I've been sorely missing.  Nice to see Bill front and center in this one too, after Eric kind of took the spotlight from him for a few eps.
