I wonder what the deal is with Vanessa Hudgens. She has a basically squeaky clean image, but still sees fit to have naked pictures of herself "leaked" online. For what its worth, she is the star of the new film by Daniel Barnz called "Beastly," which is yet another riff on the Beauty & the Beast tale (she presumably plays the "beauty" part), and she also is involved with the new Zack Snyder film, tentatively called "Sucker Punch."

Daniel Barnz wrote/directed the terrfic Phoebe in Wonderland.

I stole my "sig" line from that movie.

Nobody cares about the naked-ity (or vapidity) of Vanessa Hudgens, I guess. She has a new movie out today, called Bandslam, directed by Todd Graff, who also did the very good CAMP.

I'm gonna see Bandslam too. It looks like a cute movie... and the New Moon trailer is going to be shown.

Oh God, I love Camp. I didn't know he directed this new movie. Hey, remember when we were talking about Don Dixon on Facebook? I wondered if you'd seen Camp. Dixon played Bert, the former Broadway composer, now drunk teacher. I loved Todd Graff as an actor, but he will always be the guy who gave Dixon his first movie role, and that makes me love him even more. At first I didn't know whether to be annoyed or not because I wanted to get this script I'd written produced and was working very hard at it back in 2003 and I'd written what I hoped would be Dixon's first movie role. Todd beat me to it. But since I ended up loving Camp so much, I'm glad he did!

Probably since FAME, which I adored way back in the day, I have always loved teen angsty musicals. It goes without saying that I'm a RENT freak (I haven't seen the play that many times, but I always love it), and I even really liked the movie version. CAMP was huge fun for me, and I pretty much will always watch CENTER STAGE if its on. I am even keen to see BANDSLAM, but will probably have to wait for the DVD.

I think, in another life, that I might have been Franklin Pangborn :dancing:

Fame is racy. Hair. Even Camp & Footloose & Grease are. Rent certainly is. You know, stuff like that. In other words, not too squeaky clean and teenybopper.

I don't know why she's being blamed for the pictures leaking. Granted she shouldn't have taken them in the first place but nobody's perfect and they were meant to be private. I'm not really a huge Vanessa Hudgens fan but I still think it's a little unfair the way the public targets her and others whenever they mess up.
