Hey There! :)

Hey Everyone!
My name's Leesey and I've been a Chris Marquette fan for a few years now. Ever since I saw "The Girl Next Door", I've been hooked to his movies. I've seen most of them, not all, but a bunch. smile I tend to quote his movies alot, I hope you guys don't mind. LOL I'm 20 years old and I'll soon be 21 in September. I'm a Jersey girl and I'm a big goofball. Right now, my biggest dream is for 'Kid Cannabis' to be made already. Seriously. :waiting: My favorite movie of all time is Alpha Dog [probably the first to say that, but it's true.] Even though Alpha Dog IS a Chris movie, I couldn't really say what my favorite movie of his is, because I love them all for different reasons. So, I can't decide. smile I'm a huge photoshop whore. It's one of my past times. Chris.Movies.Photoshop... make my life. smile

Re: Hey There! :)

I agree with you about Kid Cannabis, definitely.  Currently, Graduation & Infestation are fightin' it out to be my favorite "Chris movie".  Nobody's cuter than Carl.  But Infestation is just so much fun and Cooper's super cute too.

Everything about Carl & Suzy makes me melt.  I wrote a smutfic about their night after the prom.  tongue

Did you get the pics? I emailed them from work, so I wasn't sure if they might've landed in your SPAM filter.  I some Christmas ones too, but you gotta keeps these from getting all over the net.  Tisha doesn't like the way she looks in them and asked us not to publish them, but we can share them amongst ourselves.

Chris's ex-girlfriend was from Jersey too.  Guess that's why Mama loved her.  wink

HEY! Leesy smile Welcome welcome....etc

Hahaha sorry that was really lazy of me. But i definitely agree with you. Alpha Dog is also one of my favourite movies of all time. I went a little mental last week when my brothers girlfriend had never even heard of it. So i made her sit and watch a youtube video of the trailer and then pushed the DVD into her hands and told her to go home and watch it.

Anywho shall surely be chatting to you later smile

I kinda love that she used to look like a soccer mom when the boys were kids, but now she looks more like a biker mama.

Omg I know. Tell me about it! I have everyone I know hooked on alpha dog. I can quote the entire movie and there are times I watch it 2 or 3 times in a row. LOL. And as much as people say its a horrible movie, they can't help but watch it. My mom doesn't like it, but whenever I watch it, she watches it with me. The acting is just so amazing and the whole movie is so real, I don't know how people can hate it. I'm the kinda person who can't take things seriously, so whenever something bad happens in a movie, I have to laugh at it. I just have to. I know its based on a true story, but there's so much funny shit in it, how could they expect people to take it seriously?! smile

I mean, Emile Hirsch is made fun of for being short so many times, people listen to him so easily, JT's high off his ass 90% of the movie, Chris is just freaking nuts... come on. The only time it got serious was the last 15 minutes.

Re: Hey There! :)

I think that might be the point though. I can remember laughing at the movie and just really enjoying the moment and going along in a happy mood through all their partying and then when the seriousness happens it was like a hit to the face. I felt so guilty for enjoying it when i knew what they were doing was wrong. I think its just a really excellent and powerful movie. I dont think i could quote the entire movie though. I think the only movie i could ever do that for would be Grease. But its definitely a movie i can watch over and over again and each time it still hits me just how quickly things turned from laughing and partying to dark dark times.

Re: Hey There! :)

Kate, yes, I'll send you the pics.

And you know the actors actually talked about that in an interview, how you really like most of these guys, until, it turns ugly.  And after the murder, you kinda feel guilty for liking them.  That's the magic of the movie for me.

You guys know that I have Keith's leather bracelet, right?  Won it off ebay.  TeeJay has his driver's license, which you never see in the movie but which Chris probably carried to help get in character.  Our member, Doree has Keith's beanie.  It was shipped to me and I mailed it to her, so I got to handle it.  Same with the driver's license, it was like a real one.  big_smile

We effin' love that movie around here.  Who cares what anyone else thinks?  And not just or Chris.  I got to meet Nick Cassavetes because of it.  And I talk to the real mom of the real victim online.  Opinion is vastly more positive these days than it was before people actually, you know, watched the damn thing.

A.) Hey melody! smile
B.) I knew you had the bracelet, but to have the beanie... wooooooow.<33333333333 that's what I love most about Chris, his hats.<3
C.) Yeah, Cassavettes really did a good job of making you like the characters. After watching it, I always felt bad for them even after the murder. Well, not Elvis' character because, well, he was just stupid. But Keith and Frankie, I did. Because Keith was pretty much forced to do it [and they didn't show that, which pisses me off, because they make it seem like keith just did it to fit in with everyone else.] and Frankie didn't wanna do it at all. And then its sad to know that the characters were LOOSELY based on the real people... sad

Re: Hey There! :)

Yeah, the real people were worse than the movie characters.  But I still feel bad for Graham Pressley, who was portrayed as Keith.  He really was just in the wrong place with the wrong crowd on the wrong night.  If he'd left with the girls, he would've been nothing more than a witness to the kidnapping.

I really wish I'd bid on the beanie.  It's cute and very soft, but I'm glad Doree got it.  She also has some stuff from The Invisible.

To me, he'll always be Packard Walsh from The Wraith, and the director of the very sweet The Notebook.

I bet he's a cool guy. His Mom is very cool, and so was his Dad.

Re: Hey There! :)

He's a very cool guy.  And I actually teased him about The Wraith when I met him.  Dave has the poster.  He just coudn't find it.  We were gonna bring it for him to sign.  Dude, it kinda made my tummy flip when I walked up to him and said, "Hi Nick, I run the Marquette website."  And he stuck out his head and said, "Oh yeah, Deb Mac, right?"  We met on the IMDb Alpha Dog board.  People laughed at me for insisting that I knew it was really him.  But I knew.

I only had my cell phone camera on me that night, dammit.

Re: Hey There! :)

A warm welcome from me too, Leesey. I love Alpha Dog as well, such an intense movie. Keith's driving license is up on my bedroom wall in a frame, next to my Chris, Amber, Becky, Mike Welch and Martin Lindow autographs. smile It does look like a real one, except that in the back they used a stripe of black adhesive tape instead of a real magnetic band.
