JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I just found this today: http://community.livejournal.com/fic_crazed/

The stories are all really short, but some of them are really cute (or sad). Thought I'd share it with you. She also used some images from our site and gave credit too. Which is nice. Glad people actually use the stuff we offer.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

It's kinda cute, though. Adam had Grace babysit his and Joan's kids. Of course Grace is totally not ready to handle kids. smile

Well, I rather stay away from kid stories, you know. wink Unless they would fit into my joaniverse, I mean.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

This one could fit into the Butterflies Joaniverse, somewhere down the road. Except that I think our Grace would be a little different.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Yeah, your Grace is very real. I mean, as real as she can be. You know what I mean. wink
But in most of the other fanfictions I have read Grace wasn't really what she was in the show.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Grace is a wonderful character to write for when you give her something to do.

What pisses me off about all the G/L fic writers is that they claim to love her so much but they give her a total brain transplant.  Make her dumb as a post.  My biggest pet peeve in ficland (besides people writing Adam as a suicidal wimp), is these people who write Luke accidentally knocking Grace up.  That would NEVER happen to those two characters.  It's just not in their make-up.  And yet all these G/L shippers --- one after another --- cop-out and do it anyway. I think it's pure laziness, just so they can take a shortcut straight to the gloopy love stuff.

The one thing I'm proud of about Butterflies is that the gloopiness we've written --- and it's a LOT --- we've come by honestly.  We've taken our time and built a real relationship, over a long period of time.  No cheap-ass shortcuts.

Yeah, our Grace is a little different, but who she is was part of her all along.  We didn't change her personality.

I just read the descriptions of those fics.  They sound cool.  I'll definitely check them out.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

This is what I meant to say. You enhanced the character of Grace from what she was in the show to what she is in you fic. All those crappy Luke/Grace Fics don't do that. They just say Grace and Luke and Love and oops a Baby. Or something like that. They never show the real Grace. But your story does. And that's what I like.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Guys, if you're not reading Laura's little ficlets, you should!  They're really wonderful.  And totally non-spoilery for the most part, so yes, Paige, you and Dee could read them.  I'll post the link again.  She put up two new ones today.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

They're just little vignettes, but she's a wonderful writer and she has the characters nailed.  Some of them are future fics, some of them are gappers in the real eps, some of them are prequels to the series.  All of them are excellent.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Woah... yeah, this is Laura.  Deb actually just emailed me about this and... well, thanks you guys!

I'm kinda in shock right now that there's an entire thread on a message board about my fanfiction.  yikes  I try to post at least once a day, if I can.  So... yeah, I really don't know what else to say right now.

And, yeah, my titles do suck... it's my main weakness in writing.

Thanks.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Laura, so glad you registered and stopped by. I found your stories the other day and I loved each and every one of them. It's so hard to find good (and updated) Adam-related stories these days. I was going to send you a comment about your stories soon, so just let me tell you again that I love them. You've got the characters nailed beautifully as well. Great work.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Welcome on the boards, Laura.

Please keep posting your fanfiction. We really love to read JoA fiction. One day, I might try to finish my own story. I had this wonderful idea once, but I was never able to finish the fic, so I published only my short story about a nightmare Adam has one night. LOL

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I posted two more today.   The one I just posted (Dirty Little Secret) is very strange, basically something that came out of me and my friends being weird and seeing something that's probably not there.

Like I said, I do post basically everyday so I probably won't post here everytime I put something new up and basically spam the boards.   At least until August or September something new will be up, because then I'll be going back to school, but I'll still try to post as much as possible.
