Yes, Laura, she told me Butterflies inspires you sometimes. Thanks, that's really wonderful to hear.

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

Here's another shameless plug for Butterflies...

The following review has been submitted to: Butterflies: the unadulterated version Chapter: 35

From: JustMe10012001

Ladies, I am in AWE of your work!  I recently watched my JoA DVDs and came here looking for more of Joan's story.  Boy am I glad I did!  I read it all in one sitting when I found it and I'm now enjoying a slower reading.  You've taken these wonderful characters into the future.  I can't wait for the wedding, and whatever delicious suprises you have planned.  I know you'll find many other stories with these gteat characters: Kevin & Lilly, Luke, etc.  I read one of the reviews that said, "...hope you finish..."  Well, I hope you NEVER finish!  I'd love to read about the love story of Joan & Adam for a LONG time to come.  Kudos to you both!  It's wonderful.

I don't think there's any danger of us finishing anytime soon.  wink

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

Oh no, we've got a loooooong way to go yet.  Let me check...

Right now, we have OOAL, TWF, SH, DD, AHS06, SH, 3, TBT - that's 7 chapters in various stages of develoment.  But before we can post the next one in line, OOAL, we need a small chapter in between so we're trying to figure out what to do about that.

As long as we're inspired and enjoying ourselves, we'll keep going.

It's certainly taken over MINE.  But I love it.  Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Some of the best fanfiction writers don't have lives, it's why we do it. smile  And it'll rot your brain away if you aren't careful.

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

New Chapter, The Way We Are is up, penned by guest author, Laura.  It's mostly fluff with a side-dish of angsty goodness.  smile

Here's the banner TeeJay created for it.  We'll just insert the title and use it for the web version...

First review for the new chapter:

Wow!  It sure was a nice surprise to see more "Butterflies" so soon.  Nice
work, Laura.  Fun and very in keeping with the rest of the story.  Thank you
all so much for "Butterflies".
-------------------

Well, no, that's not true, it wasn't the first review. Charles (TheBold) reviewed before, but he didn't say anything other than that he apologized for his review for the previous chapter...

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

He asked about Grace going to the bar: "Why would Grace go to a bar in the first place, when she doesn't drink herself and gets upset at seeing drunks who remind her of her mother? Did her girlfriend insist on going?"  It was actually explained why they were there, he said he didn't read it well enough and skipped the part about why they were there.

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

I also PM'ed him after he wrote the previous review and explained to him why Grace was there. He often asks us all kinds of technical questions. Guess he just cares about continuity.

We got another review (but this is not the same DeeDee as on our forum, strangely enough):

From: deedee ()

Good job Laura! I love that this chapter talked about Adam and Joan's
wedding. I'm really looking forward to their wedding. The gifts that they gave
each other were so cute to. I liked Adam's gift especially. I thought it was
so cute. Keep up the good work.

Laura, I trust you got the updated wedding fic doc I sent to you and TeeJay today?  I had some thoughts about it.  I'd like to share them with you later, when I get home from work.  I'll see if you're around then.  smile
