I tried buying new pants for work yesterday since I lost some weight and now my pants are all too large. Didn't find anything, though. Guess I'll have to keep looking next week. I have this problem with really long legs. Which some people say is a desirable trait in women. Well, not if you can never find any pants that fit you because they're all too short! Grrrr.

Do you rather wanna live with one leg shorter than the other I give you that problem and take yours instead. I HATE having one leg shorter. I can't buy many shoes I wanna have and I can't wear them at once because the left one always needs to get a higher sole and that still does not solve the problem with the pants.

I dont listen to the rules though. I told the principal I can wear whatever I want. She got mad. One girl in my class cussed at her because of the dress code. I think they should change that rule because its REALLY stupid. The old princapal let us waer whatever.

Is she really old? Maybe she has some ancient views about dress codes.

Shes 55. She is mean! She made me go to the doctor once because she thought I was retarted or something and I told her. I'm a straight A student I know I'm not retarted. The doctor said I was fine. She told my parents I had mental defects.

In that case I would go to another school. I did that once because my teachers thought I was retarded just because I was born with SWS. Stupid people. So I went to another school and even got a higher graduation.

Well, in the US you can't just change schools, I think. At least not when it's not a private school. Remember American Gun, Anne? David had to go to Ridgeline because it was the school in the district that he was assigned to. Do you go to a private school that you can change, hoops?

Shorts down to your fingertips? That's crazy?
I have short, stocky arms, so I'd be wearing hot pants!! :dancing:
Changing public schools as far as what I've seen in NM is pretty difficult, though it can be done depending on what the situation is. They try and keep you in certain school districts to avoid school overloading, plus it cuts down on sports recruiting in most ways, which is a big deal out here and especially in Texas!

When I was a kid, I never went to the same school for a whole year because we moved a lot. My parents split up when I was 3 and my mom had a hard time getting stable somewhere after that. She married my stepdad when I was in 5th grade and we moved in with him. But he lived way out of my school district. My mom wanted me, for once, to finish out the school year in ONE SCHOOL. I wanted that too, but we knew it wasn't allowed. So we didn't tell the school, and they got up earlier every day and drove me almost 20 miles to my old school. God bless 'em for doing that for me.
Then, over the summer, we moved back to my old area, and I was able to start school in 6th grade at the SAME SCHOOL I went to for 5th grade! Woohoo! I was a happy little camper. Got to keep some friends, finally. And know my way around a school really well for the first time. Interestingly, that was the last year 6th grade was part of elementary school before Junior High (7-9) became Middle School (6-8) and High School added on the 9th grade.
I got to stay in that district for the rest of my 12 years. And I still live in the same district. If I had a kid, they'd got to the same schools I did from 5-12.

It can be easy to change schools over here. My school gave me lots of problems. I had a I.E.P for my Arthritis and they never followed it, so it became hard to follow all the work that had to be done because they never limited it for me. And the teachers hated me because I called on their mistakes(excuse me for actually paying attention in class).
So my mom finally pulled me out during Spring Break in 7th grade and I've been homeschooled since. I start 12th and final year this fall.

I'm going to a different school when I go into 7th grade. I hate the shorts rule! I have to wear shorts that make me look like a boy. I also hate my principal because shes mean and she also thinks I'm too underweight. She thinks I have a lot of medical problems.

I just graduated high school. I'm so happy to be out of that place. Our dress code sucked too even thought we didn't need to wear uniforms... popular girls who sucked up to the principal and teachers could wear short skirts (my school had the same rule about shorts as shoothoops22) but basically everyone else couldn't wear jeans with a hole in them the size of a pencil tip because it's "distracting". Sorry, which would boys more likely be looking at, a little tiny hole in jeans or a short skirt?
And my school was one of the few places that people could really use the excuse "I'm allergic to school" and mean it. Most people can't even set foot in the library because of mold infestation and if you walked down the hall on the top floor on a rainy day you'd most likely get hit with mold leaking from the ceiling. And their radioactivity under the floors, accourding to the Chemistry teacher.
Sorry about the mini rant... I really hated my school.

I never hated going to school, but I was kind of a subdefective. Never ran with the popular crowd. I was probably a bit of a dork too, but I never really had a problem with that.
I had a close circle of friends, most of them I still meet with today on a regular basis--11 years after we all finished school. (Wow, I can't believe it's been that long!) We're pretty much scattered all over the place (different regions of Germany and Freddie now lives in the UK with her husband), but somehow we always manage to get together once a year or so. I visit Freddie whenever I can, she's one of my closest friends. I really like her husband too. Some friendships really endure through the years.

I have a lot of friends. But theres this one girl in my class who is always alone and keeps following me and my friends around. She hates everyone but me for some reason. She told all of my freinds " Alexis is the only one who understands me.
She didnt have any friends all the years when she went to that school.

Laura, how come your school hasn't been condemned? Mold can kill you, you know?

Oh, I know. So do most of the students, the teachers are even scared to death of being there. The library wing got blocked off for about a month a year ago, but that's as far as they went. There's a rumor that they've been buying off the health surpervisors or something so they meet the codes. Apparently, they're gonna tear it down and build a new one sometime in the unknown future. No one really believes them though.
