Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Oh wow, yeah, that looks great, Laura.  I just got home a little while ago and TeeJay and I are chatting.  She's crashing soon so I think I'll catch up on my reading.  wink

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I can't really take credit for it since it was one of the few good ones made by LJ, but thanks.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

The review part of LJ is running frustratingly slow tonight, so I'll just say here that I love all your new ones.  The scene with Carl and Elizabeth is so good I wish it was longer and went deeper.  But I'm a bit unclear on just how much she knows about Adam's life.  Is she limited in what she can see?  It's a fascinating concept to me.  And the one with the vows was really lovely.  smile

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Bah... LJ *hits it*

I really planned on the Carl/Elizabeth thing to go longer than it was, but I got to the point about God and I just thought it was a funny line to end on and for some reason couldn't fit everything in before that, originally Carl did ask Elizabeth why she did what she did, but I just wanted to keep it light - they're two people who love each other, and haven't seen each other in years, reunited for eternity.   As far as the Adam thing goes, in my mind people in heaven are allowed to do some check-ups on people in their lives... it must get boring sometimes up there.  I sent you an email on the other Carl/Elizabeth story.

Thanks.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Oh, I hear ya.  Sometimes, I have these ambitious ideas that I end up boiling down to an essence that just works.  And I don't want to mess with it myself.  I'm kind of a sucker for scenes like that.  Anything really sentimental or gloopy.  I guess you already figured that out from my stuff.  Got your email, it's been a pleasure reading and reviewing.  Like I said, my imagination has been really wrapped up in your stuff all week.  smile

Probably why I haven't done anything much with ours.  But that's OK.  I might've needed a break to work out something in our final sequence.  It's another long one.  I shouldn't even talk about it though because it's so far in the future.

I wish I was a prolific as you.  I think about whatever I'm involved in every day, but I don't always accomplish anything.

Wait... what?  How long?   sad

The only reason I update as much as I do is that I literally have nothing better to do than sit at a computer and write.   I'm a soon-to-be college student on summer vacation with no job, I have a lot of time on my hands.

But I will be sticking you guys with a two-week fast from my fanfiction from August 7th to the 21st.   I made a pretty hiatus banner for you to look at though when it happens. smile

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

LOL.  Hiatus Banner.  Love that.

Well, this chapter we're working on is way down the road.  We have several chapters that come before it in our timeline.  We only wrote it now because TeeJay was inspired.  I think maybe she was reluctant to suggest the idea to me because she seemed surprised that I loved it.  Am I right about that feeling, T?

We will be posting a new story soon enough, I guess.  But the next chapter in the timeline jumps a little too far ahead for my taste.  I want to do a fairly light one-off in between Trials and this up-comer which is called Out On A Limb.  We've both just been really busy lately.  But we're always working on Butterflies, don't fret.  We just don't always write in sequence and we're very meticulous.  Maybe we should consider releasing these huge chapters in smaller chunks.  I don't know...

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I just posted a new story.  Sorry I'm being so chinsey with the posts this weekend, but that's probably all I'm gonna get up.   Maybe even until Wednesday, for some reason this week is gonna be annoyingly busy.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Right now, it's one of those weird ones that just won't come out right.  Right now, it's almost done but it really sucks so I'll need to edit the crap out of it.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I made a thread on my journal about me taking requests, which I am now because I'm out of ideas.  So if you guys wanna see me write something, maybe even a multi-chaptered story, go there and tell me.

Here's the post: http://community.livejournal.com/fic_on_mind/44999.html

Thanks, TeeJay, I already have an idea for it... I just need to listen to the song a few (hundred) more times before everything really comes into order for me.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of coma with a happy ending, but it's gonna be your story, so go and McPunish in any way you like. wink

Now it might be a happy ending because me and Adam would both need a tear duct specialist after everything... but it's gonna be an angsty happy ending.
