Can't get rid of this ache over my left eye. I took Aspirin and a nap and it's still there. Grrrr! Let me look at it again now. I'll get back to you soon.

I just posted a new Adam and Grace story. The storyline is a little bit... ok, very strange but it happens more than you'd think. And, Anne, if the title Baby Duty scared you this one REALLY will.

Loved it!

That was a joke. I do a lot of jokes like that. I'm just careful when it comes to stories where Adam and Joan have kids. That doesn't really fit into my joaniverse, but I still read the stories if they are written in a good style. Going to read that story later, I still have to finish the last pages of HP 6. I fell asleep yesterday while I was reading. LOL

I posted a new story today. Doesn't have anything to do with Butterflies:
Author's Note:
This one was inspired by a song. I dug out my old Third Eye Blind albums again recently and there's a few songs on there that just strike a chord every time I hear them. This one, 'Wounded', is one of them and I just knew that eventually I'd sit down and write something for it. However... this is McPunisher at her best. Sorry, but is it my fault that the lyrics are so terribly gloomy and downbeat? ;o)
This does not play in any Joaniverse that I've ever written for. But I will admit that I borrowed Karen from the Butterflies Joaniverse. Hope you forgive me, Deb.
And just for the record: I usually don't like these kinds of stories. I hope I managed to make it a little less cliché than some of the stuff you read online.
Warning:
The subject matter is kinda dark and depressing. Don't read this if you're looking for a happy and uplifting story.
Synopsis:
Adam reflects on something that happened to Joan and estranged them, now determined to bring change to Joan's life and help her deal with it. Adam's POV.
Rating: PG-13 for language and adult themes

I was protecting myself as I read it, like I always do when TeeJay tells me something she's written is gonna be dark and depressing, but I still almost cried near the end. It almost broke through my guard. If anyone's feeling particularly raw right now, better go in with caution. It's powerful.

I take that as a compliment, Deb. I teared up a few times when I wrote it.

Is this new or do I have that already? Sorry, I have completely lost track of your stories. A couple of days ago I found some printed ones I wanted to bind to books, but couldn't because they're not finished yet. And they won't be anytime short, I guess.

I would be surprised if you had it, Anne. I wrote it today. I tried to YM it to you, but then you went offline. I'll send it by mail.

You were on YM? Oh sorry, I had to swap computers to be able to continue with what I call my "Potter Journey" and I don't have Yahoo running on Jean-Luc at the moment. I'll check my mail on Cooper later.

I posted a new story this morning, TeeJay already knows about it but I figured I'd post here anyway. I got a bit McPunisher on Price, but in a good way... can you punish Price in a bad way?

Nope. Looks like everyone's been writing today except me.

That's good to know. I did edit OOAL, our next Butterflies chapter today. It's short and sweet. Kind of another transitional chapter. We've gotta start thinking about the Big Event. It's the next thing we have to write. Scary because we know nothing. Do you?

I know that... they have to say "I do" or some kinda vow.
Ok, now I'm gonna be serious... or as serious as I can be. Joan's dress shouldn't be pure white if you discribe it because people will get all pissy because she isn't a virgin and blah blah blah. Pick Joan's bridal party, make them wear puffy dresses because it's always fun to make girls try to sit in puffy dresses, if you feel like it the maid of honor can have a different dress than the others.. Pick Adam's grooms men (and Grace), they really aren't that hard to dress, but Grace should have a different tux (assuming she wears one) than the men. Kids under eight should be the ring bearer and flower girl, if you're gonna have them. Drunk relatives are usually fun, but probably not for this wedding. And last thing... not a good idea to actually make Adam pass out at any point in the night, no matter how much he wants to... have someone kick him otherwise.
I think the persession to walk down the aisle is: Adam just kinda stands at the alter , the grooms men and bridemaids all pair up and walk down the aisle together one-by-one (pair-by-pair, I guess), the maid of honor and Grace (should be interesting) go out first though so Grace can knock Adam back into consciousness when needed, then the rest all come out, ring bearer, flower girl, then Joan and Will. Then the ceremony.

Awesome. I guess one of Jamie's boys will have to be ring bearer. We don't really have any other kids in the story. We'll have to find a flower girl. Should we really go through with Grace wearing a tux, or was she kidding? Lydia and Karen will be bridesmaids of course. How many do we need? Luke, Kevin and Brody will be Adam's groomsmen.
Speaking of which... shower? Does Joan have enough female friends? Can we reduce it to one really funny scene? Karen will throw it, I guess..
Because um... as best man, Grace will throw Adam's bachelor party. I just can't see her and Adam in a strip joint. So I thought... belly dancers? But where would they have it? Who all would be there?
I think I can write the vows. It's all the crazy-fun stuff that needs to happen around the vows that we have to nail down. We haven't really talked about it much yet. My original intention was to skip right to the honeymoon (smut). But the more I thought about it, the more I realized we can't do that.
Adam and Joan deserve a wedding. I want it to be funny and a little weird, but ultimately really gloopy and intense in all the right ways. Ya know?
I've started the honeymoon chapter already...

Joan and Adam should have the same number of bridemaids and groomsmen, so make Joan have couple more friends since Adam has four including Grace. And, yeah, Grace could wear a tux, they make sort of feminine looking tuxes for this situation... she can't wear a dress, she'll end up killing people.
Joan has enough friends to throw a shower. It's not really even just friends, it's usually ever woman invited to the wedding. Put her mom in charge of it if you need to, make sure she gets thirteen blenders she'll never use. But that's usually a while before the actual wedding, so you might not have enough time to pull it off by now. It's not really nessasary, they already got all the stuff people usually give at bridal showers at their house-warming party.
Bachelor/bachelorette partys happen usually a night or a few days before the actual wedding, so you can do that. Adam should have all of his male friends at his bachelor party, including Henry because we know he's Mr. Lonely. And Joan can have a bachelorette party which would probably be basically the same as Adam's only opposite... you know what I mean. But make sure they miss each other like crazy the entire time, maybe try to call each other if you feel like. And someone can put their phones down someone's g-string because they shouldn't be talking to each other.

You know, maybe you two should write the wedding chapter. I know nothing about American weddings. I don't even know much about German weddings. And I don't like writing fan fiction when I don't know what I'm talking about.

I just put my writing journal on hiatus because I won't be updating in the next two weeks. I made a couple pretty banners for you guys to look at though.
The last paragraph in my notice can be ignored by you guys.
