There's a few movies that I don't think I wanna watch in its entirety more often than, say, twice. That would include Just Friends and especially Freddy vs. Jason. Rewatching the Chris bits is just fine, but for some of them that's all I can tolerate. But The Girl Next Door is definitely not one of those.

wow Freddy Vs. Jason...I have seen that movie once. Now it is Chirs parts ONLY. Then I have to debate on whether or not I watch "the death of Linderman." so sad. I usually only watch Cris parts in Alpha Dog though. With Just Friends...he is in there at such random parts that it's just better tho watch the whole thing.

I love Alpha Dog. I've seen it three times in the theater and once on DVD. I could easily watch the whole movie again. There are new nuances each time.

Yeah the thing is though when I first bought Alpha Dog I watched it every single day. It is easy to get tired of movies over and over again, but the Chris parts are great whether it's the 1st time or 1,000,000th time lol

I've only seen FVJ once too. And I don't always watch the death scene. Just Friends I've watched probably 10 times by now. With AD, I'm at 7 times all the way through, maybe 15 for just the Chris parts.
You guys don't even wanna know with JoA...

I watched FVJ two times. That's enough. And it was German too. Eeee! I hate the dubbing!
But I could watch GND once more soon, I need to polish my synopsis a little.

I don't know why Germany needs dubbing. All the other countries have the original versions with subtitles, that would be so much better here too. I mean, everybody would be able to learn English a lot easier than just at school.

yeah, plus alot of those who already know English would probably much appreciate it

Today's Cinematical has a piece, "Cinematical Seven: Teen Sex Comedies That DON'T Suck!"
Included:
The Girl Next Door (2004, Luke Greenfield) -- One of the most overlooked and unjustly dismissed "low-brow" comedies of the past five years, the flick tells the tender story of a mega-horny nice-guy teenager -- and the young porno queen who moves in next door. Aside from the fine performance from Emile Hirsch, the luminous presence of the stunning Elisha Cuthbert, and a lot of random sexiness, the flick pretty much belongs to supporting players Chris Marquette, Paul Dano and the awesomely oily Timothy Olyphant. (Funny Factor: 4 out of 5 / Sexy Factor: 4.5 out of 5)

Awesome! Thanks, Larry. Do you mind if I move this to the "Girl Next Door" thread?

Circuit City has The Girl Next Door as part of their 2 for $15 sale.
The sale begins on the 24th.
I may buy it, but I have never seen it before.
Is it good?

I think we all love it, and not only for Chris. It's not the greatest comedy on the planet, but it is good fun and entertainment. It's not one of those brainless, plump comedies, there's actually a story to it. And the characters are all adorable in their own way. The acting was great throughout. And it has some of the most classic Chris lines. I would certainly say it's worth spending $7.50 on.

Yeah, Illinois, you should get it so you can see Emile and Chris playing TOTALLY different characters than we saw in AD. Is it the unrated version?

I have no idea if it's the Unrated Edition that will be on sale. Will have to wait to tomorrow morning to get the Sunday paper and see what is pictured.
If they only show the spine I may be able to price match it at Best Buy or Walmart if it's not clear if it's the Unrated Edition.

All the versions I've seen around of GND are unrated, so it's a good chance that it is unrated.
Offline
Yeah, you need the unrated one. Hey, Illinois, can I put you on the hunt for something? Someone at IMDb posted that the DVD for The Invisible will be an extended cut. We already knew there'd be deleted scenes. Looks like somebody has release more info, but this mook didn't cite his source, as usual. Can you check your resources and see if tehre's anymore info on this DVD?
