Oh yeah? I used to write and moderate for Haley's official site. I'll have to check into that. Cool!

Thanks y'all.
Yea, I totally agree Deb, AL puts on one heck of a show. Constant costume changes for each song, skits and videos in-between costume changes. All kinds of background characters(Cheerleaders, Stormtroopers, etc..)It's just an all-around fun concert.
He has a song off the Running with Scissors CD called 'Albuquerque' that he wrapped the show up with and it was spectacular. The place went wild.
He's a super cool guy and so friendly in person. He took a lot of pictures with me and our group and signed a few things for us as well. Definitely a memorable night.

Hey, Paige, do you know what the name of the movie is that Haley's going to shoot in Indiana? I looked and all I can find is this (ironically German) story called Truth & Treason and IMDb says that's shooting in Budapest, Hungary.

I could ask over at his website, I guess. Unless you remember the name of it.

I went out today to practice parellel parking for my driving test on Friday and I totally blew. So now I'm worried I'm gonna fail my test again and I just really want to get my stupid license. There's no place I would even need parellel park at within 50 miles of my town, so I'm never gonna use it and it's the only thing keeping me from passing.
It's just annoying because I know I can pass, I know I can park too usually. I just choke when it really matters.
Awww, that sucks. I didn't even have to parallel park for my driving test, so I've never learned how. I did fail on my first attempt at the test though, for reasons that are so embarrassing that I can't even bring myself to post about them. My nerves just eff me up all the time.

Hey guys!
Oh, and tonight......
I saw Weird Al in concert, got to hang out backstage and got to meet the man himself!
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b66/chnyst/w1.jpgIt was awesome!
Cool! I saw one of his shows a couple years ago with my younger brother. It was so much fun.

I'm taking my drivers test AGAIN this afternoon. Third time's the charm, I hope.
I parked perfectly eight out of ten times last night, so hopefully I can do it at least good enough to pass and to do that you just need to be in the lines and not run over anything.

You can do it! Just don't let your nerves get the better of you. I've got my fingers crossed.

Thanks, Deb.
Actually, failing the last time might have been for the best. It was the same day the rabid 13-year-olds attacked and if I had passed I wouldn't have been home to help deal with it when TeeJay had to leave and it might have gotten out of control.

Wow, well, as much as it sucks that you're having to retake it, I am glad you were there that day. It would've been a big, creepy mess without you!

Well. I officially suck at life. I ran a stop sign, which is an automatic failure. Even though I didn't really, I stopped, looked both ways and went on but I apparently didn't stop long enough. :crying:  :crying:
I have one more try before my mom sends me off so a professional can teach me to do something I already know how to do.

Have you heard the old joke about the rolling stop? Cop pulls a guy over for a rolling stop. The guys says, "but I slowed all the way down before I went on." Cop takes out his nightstick and starts beating the guy as he asks, "Now, would you for like me to slow all the way down before I go on, or would you like for me to STOP."

Scientists Narrow Optimism Area in Brain
SETH BORENSTEIN | October 24, 2007 11:02 PM EST |
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WASHINGTON — A person's optimism in the future seems to be controlled by a small front part of the mid-brain, according to a study that used brain imaging.
That area deep behind the eyes activates when people think good thoughts about what might happen in the future. The more optimistic a person is, the brighter the area showed up in brain scans, the scientists reported in a small study published online Thursday in the journal Nature.
That same part of the brain, called the rostral anterior cingulate cortex (rACC), seems to malfunction in people suffering depression, said the study co-authors, Elizabeth Phelps of New York University and Tali Sharot of University College London.
Researchers gave 15 people functional magnetic resonance imaging scans while they thought about future possibilities. When the participants thought about good events both the rACC and amygdala, which is involved in emotional responses including fear, were activated. But the correlation with optimism was biggest with the cingulate cortex.
The same study also found that people tended to think that happier events were closer in time and more vivid than the bad ones, even if they had no reason to believe it, Phelps said.
Psychologists have long known people have an "optimism bias," but the new study offers new details.
When researchers asked the subjects to think about 80 different future events that could be good, bad or neutral, they had a hard time getting people to think negatively, or even neutrally, about the future. For example, when people were asked to ponder a future haircut, they imagined getting the best haircut of their lives, instead of just an ordinary trim, Phelps said.
The study makes sense and pulls together new and different parts of research on optimism and the brain, said Dan Schacter, a professor of psychology at Harvard University who wasn't part of the research.
Having our brains wired to optimism is generally a good thing because "if you were pessimistic about the future you would not be motivated to take a lot of action," Phelps said.

I wonder what the optimism part of my brain would look like... probably pitch black.

I posted that because TeeJay and I are always talking about optimism vs pessimism. Apparently, mine would be lit up like a Christmas tree and she would challenge you in the pitch black arena.

How did that happen? Ask him something only he would know: "What's the name of that play you're doing in LA? What theatre is that at?"
