Hey, not everyone has to know this stuff. I studied this at university for six years. Well, not exactly immunobiology, but, well... I still loved your story, it was McCute on Adam and McPunisher on Joan. big_smile

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

It could still be a never ending cycle, they don't have to keep getting sick with the same thing.   After Adam got sick with whatever he caught from Joan, he'd owe her to take care of her next time then he'd get sick and she'd take care of him, then the next time he'd take care of her and get sick... see?  Still an endless cycle tongue

Ten more till I'm a dorquette! big_smile

I forgot to read that story this morning.  Stupid webinar messed up my whole day.  Better go catch up what you guys are talking about.

I got the story email, Deb.  Is it ok if I add my title/rating/summary header to it before I post it?

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I posted it.  I didn't add it to my masterlist/memories or put a tag on it because that would mess up my personal story count.  My note is like a story in it's own and might be a little harsh to everyone but you and TeeJay, but everything I wrote in there I really had to say.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

No, this is the first time.  But I'm almost certain that now because I did it for you and opened it up for TeeJay, all the crazy Wildfire teeny-boppers will want me to post their usually crap-tastic stories which I don't want to do and I don't even want to be asked.

As, I see.  Hopefully, that won't happen.  I never even thought of that.

Are you still writing Wildfire at all?

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

When the new season comes on, if I even watch it, I'll probably get back to it.   But for now it's done.  I have 47 fics left for my Wildfire challenge and I hate quiting on these things unless I'm forced to drop out, but I think I might quit that.    I just don't think I care enough to put everything I would like to into Wildfire stories anymore.

I'm really not being cocky here, but I am one of the best Wildfire writers out there, most of them are between 10 and 15 years old and still think that using webspeak is a proper way to write a story or don't pay attention to the character's backrounds at all.   Honestly, the fanfic100 challenge would probably be better off with one of them, they'll write Children and Birth first because it would be "soooooooo cute!" roll

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I don't know about you, but I can't write it if I don't feel it.  It's sad that your readers won't get more of your stories, but if you force yourself you won't do your best anyway, will you?

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Exactly, but I'd still feel bad giving up on the challenge.  The only challenges I didn't complete are the ones I didn't meet deadlines for and was forced to quit or knew early on I wouldn't get far with it.

If I do quit the Wildfire challenge before the new season starts and I get reinspired for the stories, I'll be really mad because I'll have to write 53 brand new stories or at least a majority of 53 should be new.   But if the new season sucks like I think it will, I'm gonna withdraw.

Lately, I've just been inspired to write JoA.  Last summer was the first one since it was cancelled that I wasn't in an RPG to continue it, so I went to fanfiction.   I'm more worried that if I decide to suddenly go back to Wildfire just to please people, it'll probably just end up being an Adam/Joan story with the names and settings replaced.

Just one left :dancing:

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Well, here's your chance for one more...

I get it about not quitting before the season starts.  That sounds like the best move.  And if they're A/J stories with the names changed, so be it.  Whatever blows your dress up.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I don't want them to be A/J stories with name changes, though.  Kris and Junior are so totally different from Joan and Adam, it's almost scary.  I hate it when people give characters a total brain transplant just because it's convenient for the writer, I know you hate it when it comes to JoA characters.    And if I morphed Adam into Junior or vise versa, God help me.

Annnnd I'm a Dorquette big_smile

Edit: or at least I should be...

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

You need 1001, I think.  One more.  Can we add a credit for my friend Steph on T3SHC?

"Thanks to my BF, Steph for telling me about a fantasy of hers in a chat that left me breathless.  I told her I was going to steal it for A/J and I did, with her kind permission.  She tells me the result leaves her breathless."
