Re: Graduation

Looks like what's holding things up right now is licensing of the music. Because someone explained that it's different to get a temporary license for screenings like film festivals and test screenings, but it's a whole other thing to acquire licenses for cinematical screening. Fair enough.

Re: Graduation

Well, I'm not THAT discouraged but I am disappointed that all these music issues have already held up the movie for MONTHS.  And this is ongoing.  At this point, who knows when we'll get to see it?  I fear this could drag on for yet another year.  I hope I'm wrong of course, but there's just no way to tell.

And once all that is straightened out, there's still the matter of locking down some kind of distribution.  If they're still shooting for a theatrical release, which we've been told they are, that could also take 50 million forevers.

The bottom line is, if we could just get a release date for ANY of the movies Chris has in the can, I'd be OK.  All this uncertainty is driving me nuts.

New trailer! Looks like there's lots more of Chris in it than the first one.

Re: Graduation

Kinda makes me wonder if they heard us (and others) bitching about all the emotional stuff that was cut in favor of the heist plot.  I doubt it.  Maybe they just made this trailer to show that the movie still does have enough of an emotional side to make it seem a bit deeper.  I don't know.

It is a much better trailer.  And the thing that jumps out at me is a brand new company name at the beginning.  Maybe it's closer to finding distribution.  It also seems like it will be narrated by Chris Lowell, something I didn't know before.  Generally, I hate narration so I hope it's kept to a minimum.

I'm just tickled to see Glynnis O'Connor in this trailer.  big_smile

Yeah.  I haven't seen her in anything but an occasional "Law and Order" in years.

She looks good considering she's supposed to look really bad.  If that makes sense.

Re: Graduation

I wonder if North by Northwest Entertainment will distribute the movie too. They do distribute, if I interpreted their site right. This is their actual website, but there's nothing about Graduation on it (yet?): http://www.nxnw.net

Re: Graduation

Well, even if they do, they're a small company.  I wouldn't expect too much.  But it is exciting just to see some movement finally.  smile

New screencaps!!

I didn't put this one in the official gallery because it's just scary. <shudders>

But now I can see what this one reviewer who saw the screening in LA this year said about Carl/Tom slashiness...

Re: Graduation

LOL!  Too funny!  You got 150 caps from the trailer?!?  Wow.  I'll be scrolling through them for the next couple of hours.  Joe and I are alone for the rest of the day!  Yay!

Re: Graduation

It's more like 90 as the ones from the old trailer are also in the same album (and some shots are almost the same). But still, 90 is quite an achievement for just a 2 and a half minute trailer. How many will we end up with, once I get the DVD? smile

And, yes, you're right Laura. I'll repost the image there.

No, it's fine.  I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to keep looking at them.  Obviously, I've already found my favorite.  It would be a nice centerpiece for a wally.  big_smile
