My painting

Okay, so since Tina is interested in the painting I will do for our Irish friends soon, I thought I should open a thread for this, where I can post pictures of the work progress.

So far I've bought some stuff from the money they sent me, here is a pic of that:

Well, I bought the two canvases and the colors, the brushes and the oil pastels are not that new, I bought them some time ago.
I hope I can start soon, but I still need to make some preparations.

Looks great. Can't wait to see what you come up with. What style painting was it supposed to be? Gaugin or Chagall or something like that? Forgive me if I forgot.

Looks great? Dude, I haven't started painting yet! LOL

It was Chagall. He's my favorite painter. I did the paintings for my art class graduation in his style, and Lily obviously likes them, so she asked me to paint her something in that style, too. But I wanted to ask her, what the painting should be about, she didn't say anything in her email.

Ah, I forgot to tell you: The painting is finished. I know I promised to post pics when it was still in the works, but that little crap camera my dad bought from ebay sucks, all the pictures came out crappy, so I had to give up. And today my brother was here but he didn't bring his camera with him, so I couldn't take a pic. I'll post one as soon as I have a better camera.

Here's a pic of the painting. I wanted to post this earlier, but I was too busy. Sorry. Hope you like it. I already sent the photo to Lily, my Irish guestmom. She likes it and wants to have it but she thinks I should paint a second one to sell later. Wow. She really thinks someone would buy it, huh? LOL I never thought that I could sell my art. Well, I am still at the beginning of my "career", so I guess I still have some time to get better. I actually have an idea for a next picture.

Oh, and I hope you don't mind the mess in the background. LOL You can see a part of the pinboard on the left and a part of my bed on the right. In case you are wondering why there is a butterfly sketch on the pinboard, I painted it a while ago to scan it for a birthday card design.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, the pic is kinda big.

No, she was gonna delete that "if God were a woman" comment at midnight her time last night, Deb told her not to so she deleted the comment where she said she would delete it.

I think it was from TeeJay saying it looked like the Pharoh had a you know what hanging off it's chin. She might have meant, if God were a woman that's were they'd be. I don't really know.
