My parents are gone, so I'll be going to Kim & Casey's for turkey day. A cozy, grown-up Thanksgiving with just a handful of friends. It's nice. I made a casserole for it tonight.

Nothing going on on my end, but that's not really surprising. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Germany. It's just a normal working day like every other day. I have a friend coming over tonight, but that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone will have a blast, though. Happy Thanksgiving! (We sent Chris a Thanksgiving card by e-mail, btw.)

A colleague and I ordered all four seasons of "All Creatures Great And Small" on DVD today. I've wanted them for ages.

In German it's "Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh". I'm sure you've heard of that one.

We're having a nice ham for dinner. But that has nothing to do with thanksgiving, since we don't celebrate it in NZ. Still, ham - yay!

I had turkey and a lot of other things at my thanksgiving dinner.

Is it me or is it kind of weird that retailers seem to have completely embraced our derogatory nickname for tomorrow's shopping frenzy? I keep seeing commercials for stores like JC Penney calling it Black Friday. Wow.
