Miscellaneous Stuff

Someone's making a movie from a book by one of Chris's favorite authors.  And he's a well know actor...

http://www.variety.com/article/VR111796 … id=13&cs=1

Wouldn't Chris love to land a part in that one?

Yeah, that would be interesting. But ... Shame on me ... I still need to read the book. big_smile

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Speaking of Paulo Coelho, I was recently very surprised to see him in an HP commercial.  You know, one of those ones where they show what the person uses the computer for, but never show their face.  This guy's getting wicked popular.  I've seen his name pop up in two or three articles on my political websites the last week or so.  Seems "The Alchemist" is a must-read for those "conquer the world" types.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Interesting news:

Chris has written a short film and will direct it!  Very cool.  Don't know when it will happen exactly, or what it will be.  Stay tuned right here for more details as soon as we get them.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

I really hope it will happen, because I want to see something from his work behind the camera too. Of course I know that my chances wouldn't be very high though ... who knows if that short film will ever come to Germany? roll

It won't. But maybe we'll find a way to see it anyway.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

How can you say it won't? Maybe it will make it to a film festival or something. I mean, okay, it doesn't really look like that, but who knows, it could happen.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Well, we do have an inside track.  So maybe we'll get to see it "somehow" someday.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Here's a bit of trivia about Chris that I hope is okay to share: Apparently he's a perfectionist and he doesn't normally cook. smile

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Well, I had a feeling about the perfectionist thing.  Just by how well-groomed he is and how he carries himself.  Never would've guessed about the cooking thing though.  wink

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Here's something Chris said about how to survive a zombie attack that I found today:

How Do You Survive A Zombie Attack?
Scary-Movie Vets Roth, Tarantino, Raimi Give Advice
'Always chop 'em up,' 'Evil Dead' director Sam Raimi offers.

"Just like in 'Dawn of the Dead,' you need to find a big mall where you have tons of equipment and food that can take care of you for a while," reasoned Chris Marquette, who had a role in 2003's "Freddy vs. Jason." "So, I figure my best bet is I'm going to head to [L.A.'s ] Beverly Center the second sh-- gets crazy."

Once you and your fellow survivors have locked the doors to your hiding spot, however, movies have taught us to expect melodrama, irrational in-fighting and constant questioning of authority. "You have to create some hierarchy as to how things are going to go," Marquette said. "If anybody wants to whine and leave, I figure you've just got to kick them out the door. There's no mercy at that point."

Don't bother watching the video, Chris is not in it. smile

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

I was actually looking for ever-elusive pictures of the Charlie Banks screening in Portland. I landed on some Entertainment News site that had a link to the article. Totally random.

Re: Miscellaneous Stuff

Here's some French girls doing a "Before or After" comparison of Chris (too bad they picked a weird 2007 picture):
http://travelingapostrophe.wordpress.co … -apres-15/

Upon reading some of the comments some say they'd take neither, someone said he was great as nerd on Freddy vs. Jason, someone else said he's hot either way. One person asked: Who is he, anyway? One person said she doesn't think he's very beautiful but she'd take the 2007 one because you at least have to acknowledged that he tried... (Huh?) Or at least that's what my rusty French makes me think they're saying.

I thought it was funny and wanted to share.

big_smile Man, that's brutal!  But they seem like nice girls, don't they? yikes:fedup::rolleyes:

At least he didn't have Lorenzo Lamas going over him with a laser pointer.  Anybody remember that idiotic show called "Are You Hot".
