I thought it was amazing. Amber's acting was amazing... the whole thing was amazing. I read on IMDb that someone wondered about Lydie, and you said it's called Stephanie Daley not Lydie Crane, but I do want to know what happened to Lydie. The movie went so far into her life, then you're just kinda left hanging with her story. I guess you're supposed to assume she had her baby, but what about her husband and that other guy who's name I can't remember?

Ok, just finished watching the commentary and other than "I pwned that flute", which you already talked about Deb my other favorite thing Amber said was in the sedution scene she said Stephanie's face was just like "Oh my God! That thing has a penis!" Which, totally distracted me from the movie because I had the sudden desire to write about Joan's similar fear of penis.

Kind of the opposite, actually. What I meant was Joan was treating him like a eunic. Like he had no urges at all. Like making out and taking things to the edge weren't going to be even a bit dangerous. I mean, let's look at the camper scene in Independence Day, one of the most poorly written scenes in the entire run of the show. You're going to tell me with a straight face that she had NO IDEA he might be hoping they'd have sex during this whole night alone together? Come on! How incredibly naive is she? That's what I meant by she was treating him like he didn't even have a penis. Make sense?

I Netflix'ed Stephanie Daley, and its supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I will probably watch it with Patty on either Sunday or Monday, since we are going to spend Halloween in Pinetop, Arizona. I only hope that our house doesn't get toilet-papered while we're gone !

Very intense little movie. Stunning performance from Amber. When you get to the climax, DO NOT look away, or stop the movie. You will be tempted. But you owe it to her, after everything she gives, to pay attention to that scene. You won't be sorry.

I would also strongly suggest listening to the commentary. You get a real sense of what Amber's personally like in it, and just how different she is from the character she plays in the film, or any other character she's played for that matter. Do that and I promise you that as much as you thought you loved Amber before, you will love her so much more that she will haunt you for days.
