Escaping into dreamland

Had a dream with Chris in it? Share it here!

Yep, it happened again. Chris guest-starred in a really weird dream I had this morning. It wasn't him as a person, though, I dreamed about something being shown on the screen that he was in. It's all hazy now, but it wasn't one of the movies he's got lined up, it was something completely different. I even think it was more like a documentary, or like those fake documentaries, where they imitate things that really happened to someone else.

It's wasn't very spectacular, but I kept thinking it's good that I have this on DVD now, so that I can make screencaps for the website. Darn! Wish that was true. Although I'd much rather have a Fanboys or Calvin Marshall DVD, and not some weird thing that he didn't totally rock in that weirded me out.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

Yeah, but do we really need a Fanboys DVD to cap?  We have most of it already, as well as even better stuff --- takes that didn't get used and behind the scenes stuff.  If anyone who reads this obvious tease really wants to see all this stuff, you'll have to stick around till we're given permission to use it.  Most likey, that will happen closer to or immediately after the film's release.

Calvin pics I would "die" for.

Do we need a Fanboys DVD? YES!!! I bet you there will be soooo many scenes and facial expressions in the movie that we don't have pictures of yet. And they will probably be at other angles. I mean, yes, sure, we have all these wonderful pictures to look at, but what good is it if we can't share them and discuss them publicly? That's only half the fun. And I'm not sure we'll ever be allowed to really use these pics..... (which would suck).

Plus I want to make vidcaps off the DVD. And see extras. And drool over Linus. And hear his voice. And show it to everyone I know who likes Star Wars.

Man, I can't WAIT to see Calvin pics. Maybe we could e-mail the ProdCo again. Should put that on our to-do list.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

I just meant that we have way more material than anyone else will ever have so that we don't really "need" to screencap the Fanboys DVD.  Sure, it will be great to do it.  And yeah, there will probably be stuff we don't have.  But we'll always have stuff no one else has.  Unless we're allowed to share it one day.  We might still be hog-tied till after the movie is released, but afterward, I don't see how they can stop us from posting pics, or why they would care anymore.  It's not like we're selling them for profit or something.

But, as always, I'm pining for Calvin news or pics.  Yeah, you can put emailing the prodco again on the to-do list.  Between them and the director, maybe we can come up with one measley pic, for gosh sakes.

EXTRAS!!! Of course we need a Fanboys DVD! If not for the pics, definitely for the Extras. I hope for some funny Outtakes (I love Outtakes) and some Behind The Scenes Stuff. And, of course, Interviews!!! I want a full interview with Chris, or maybe with the main cast together. That should be interesting, don't you think so?

Yeah, the Calvin pics! <sigh>

So I'm re-reading some older posts. And we now know where Calvin is. Because he's still in the making. We can consider ourselves lucky if Calvin even ends up being played by Chris. Let's hope that he will. And THEN we can yell for pictures.

I have a feeling this movie is still gonna happen.  Gary Lundgren still wants it to and Chris said he does too.  Let's stay positive.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

Hey, you won't believe what happened today!
The first thing is, I had this dream last night. It was kinda weird, but I dreamt that Chris signed my Tic Code DVD. LOL Maybe I stared at my autograph too long. big_smile
Then I went to a DVD store with my mom today and during we went through all those DVDs she handed me a DVD, saying "Hey, isn't that the guy you like so much?" and I looked at the cover and it was a John Cusack movie. So I said: "No, mom, this is John Cusack, but cool that you noticed the resemblance." And then, on the way back home we were listening to a Joan Baez CD, where she sings some Bob Dylan Songs and I told her that some people think that Chris kinda looks like Bob Dylan somehow. Then she said: "Yeah, they have kinda the same figure." and I was like wow, what's going on with my mom? LOL That's kinda funny, huh? Just wanted to tell you that. wink

Re: Escaping into dreamland

That is indeed funny, made me laugh. Gee, my mom has no idea who Chris Marquette is and that I have a certain interest in the guy and his amazing tear ducts. But maybe that's not all that bad. Parents don't always have to know what's going on with their kids, right? wink (Although I did tell my mom that we spent a day at a movie set on vacation. Guess I'll show her the pictures eventually when we meet the next time.)

Re: Escaping into dreamland

You know, it's a damn good thing I had a sexy/funny CM dream this morning before I woke up.  I think it kept me from going ballistic over the bad ROTN news.  Here it is...

I dreamed of Chris as Calvin, running around with no shirt on, all muscled and tan.  In my stupid dream though Calvin decides that if he can't be a ballplayer he wants to be a swimmer.  Mmmmmkay.  Well, he certainly had the body for it.  But I don't think that's what the script had in mind when it said he'd find his true calling.

I'm not sure what brought that dream on exactly, but here are some things that probably contributed to it: 1) Naked torso in AD --- which I was flashing back to a lot yesterday as I wrote my review. 2) The last thing I read before bed was the beginning of the smut scene I'm working on for Reclamation. 3) Ryan Reynolds in only pj pants in Amityville Horror (which I just watched on Sunday).  Where the Calvin part and swimming came in I have no idea.  But I can still see him plain as day, so happy with himself.  His exact words were, "I know what I'm supposed to do!  Swim!"  I had to laugh at myself when I woke and remembered that.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

I had a really weird dream this morning. It didn't feature Chris, but it featured George from Grey's Anatomy. And Steff and Steff's father and a tandem bike. It was so weird. It was like I found a tandem in a cellar somewhere and then I fixed it up with the help of Steff's father (who didn't look like Steff's father). I had to adjust the brakes, then I took it outside for a spin. George and my friend Steff (who was also there) wanted to go jogging, so I said that I'd take the tandem and they could jog with me.

I always thought riding a tandem would be really hard, but in my dream it was really easy. And so I took the thing down to the Rhine (river) and drove around there. I don't really remember, but I don't think George and Steff came with me after all.

How weird... The night before I dreamed of Ben Wishaw (the actor from Perfume - Story of a Murderer) and him being at home with me and my dad. Some famous guest stars in my dreams. smile I wish Chris would drop by some time (and I would remember it)!

Re: Escaping into dreamland

Had quite a vivid dream this morning that featured not Chris, but Sean and Eric. Well, most of all Sean. It was probably triggered by Tisha (the Marquette boys' mom) e-mailing us about her sons. As usual, I can't recall all the details, but I do remember that the dream started out with Deb and me meeting Eric and Sean. Deb went off with Eric to talk to him, while I hooked up with Sean. We were somehow seated near a big street (there was also a wooden fence behind us) and we got to talking. At one point, knowing that Sean is into computers, I asked him if he'd had a look at our Chris website. I can't remember if he said yes, but he was much more interested in technical stuff, like what software I used to program the website with. (How boring, Sean!) I do remember that the traffic became heavier and louder as we talked, so I often had to ask him to repeat certain things because I just didn't understand them acoustically.

After a while, we went somewhere else. I don't really know what that place was, but somehow it reminded me a little of a school playground. It was a bit of a dark corner in between a U-shaped small building. And in that corner there was this balance beam-like wooden thing that the kids could play on. And we started walking on it. I think Eric was there as well, not sure about Deb. For some reason I asked if the boys could do a handstand on it. And because I didn't know the word "handstand" in English (which is weird because it's the same word in German), I demonstrated it to them, leaning my legs on one of the walls. That's where the dream ended. How weird. I think Tisha and Chris were mentioned at some point, but I don't really recall details.

For the record: I used to do gymnastics as a kid, so it's not that unusual that I would be able to do a handstand. Still a weird thing to want to see Eric and Sean demonstrate. smile

Re: Escaping into dreamland

Interesting dream. LOL

I didn't know either that "handstand" is used in English too, but I know a lot of other German words which are used in English. I once had a funny conversation with Matt (my guestfather when I was in Ireland two years ago) about these words. He taught me that they use "doppelgänger", which was really surprising for me.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

Here's my really vivid and quite exciting new Chris dream I had this morning. What happened is that I was in Essen, the city I used to live in until about a year ago. And they were filming Alpha Dog there (??) and I was there to watch them film it. I don't really remember in what capacity I was there, but I think it was something a little more official than just a "fan". Maybe kinda like a press person for the website or something.

Anyway, the first scene that I watched them shoot was something at a swimming pool (but it didn't look like the pool that was featured in the movie trailer). Chris had to jump into the water, dressed in Speedos. And somehow he had to jump in a certain way that he landed on the water with his back. And apparently that hurt a little, like when you do a belly-flop, only with your back. They filmed the scene once and I was thinking, "Poor Chris, now he has to do it again" but then apparently it came out well and they didn't have to do it over. Justin was there as well, but I don't remember much about what he had to do.

Then we moved on to the next scene, where the guys were being chased through the streets and Chris had to do a scene where he was running along the sidewalk through the streets for a couple hundred yards. It did sort of look like the part of Essen where I used to live. Poor Chris was really short-winded by the end of that scene because he had to run so much.

After that I remember riding in a car to drive to the next location, and there was someone else with me that I explained some things about Chris to, but I don't remember who it was. At some point I think Nick Cassavetes was there as well and I talked to him too. I don't really remember specifics about this.

That's about when I woke up, I think. Oh, and Chris wasn't wearing the horrible wig, he had short hair. And the Fanboys build. Don't remember what his Speedos looked like, though. smile

So... I think that's a fairly good Chris dream as Chris dreams go. I certainly felt really entertained and was excited to be there. Now can we please make something like this happen in real life? Okay, Deb and I sort of had a similar experience already, but you know what I mean.

Re: Escaping into dreamland

That's an excellent dream!  Man, I wish he looked like Linus/Calvin in AD.  But he would've had to play a completely different character.  Keith couldn't look like that.  Thinking about it, it would've been very interesting to see him as Elvis "Smitty" Smith, the one who actually murders Anton's character, Zach.  Elvis is a slavishly devoted wannabee thug, Johnny Truelove's lap dog.  He's played by Shawn Hatosy, so there's another rolse swap he and Chris could've done.  Chris so totally could've kicked ass in that role if he'd been a couple of years older and as beefy as he was earlier this year.  At Sundance back in January, he looked more like Elvis than Keith.

At Sundance
Sundance_02.jpg

With Shawn Hatosy in AD
normal_AlphaDog_1.jpg

The above pic was the only one I could find that they were both in.  That scene is not in the movie.  Unless they were rehearsing the lead-up to the murder.  They don't wear those coats.  Also, there's another pic from the "quarry" as we called it where the girls are present.  They shouldn't be.  No one's in that scene except, Chris, Swan Justin & Anton.  And there's no quarry in the movie so that would have to be the foot of the hill they take Zach up top of.
