Re: best JoA moments

I imagine! I'm not much of a fan of horror. Well, as long as I'm watching the movie (or any horror movie for the matter) in the morning, it's all good.

Joan: "Wow. I always thought you'd hate me if I was a cheerleader."
Adam: "No way. Why?
Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

I love horror movies anytime. Especially at night!! I'm weird I know. I think they're soo cool though!! The SAW trilogy is the BEST!!! I think its lame though how a lot of people laugh at horror movies. I don't get how they're funny.

Re: best JoA moments

I was just about to mention the Saw trilogy. I love it. You actually gain so much more from it than just blood and guts. I made the mistake of watching the first Saw by myself when it was on pay-per-view at NIGHT and I couldn't really go to sleep because all I kept hearing was the scary laugh that came out of the Jigsaw doll. Bah! The Saw trilogy are the only thriller/scary movies I have in my DVD collection, haha. Oh, and the Final Destination DVDs. I think I'll stick to those and psychological thrillers, if anything.

Re: best JoA moments

My dad ruined horror movies for me forever.  When I was five him and my brother duped me into watching Chuckie, making me believe it was about the Rugrat.  Obviously, I got scared so I went to bed then they went out to a 24 hour store and got a Chuckie doll.  He sat it on my bed so it was the first thing I saw when I woke up.  It just kinda scared me for life.

Re: best JoA moments

I made a new music video... I don't know what I was thinking when I got myself into it.  It's a huge multi-song tribute-ish thing.  Even though it's really not that huge, because I had to cut like... half of it out so the ending really sucks.

Anyway, link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21VrRSHJGYY

Re: best JoA moments

Wow, that's not nice of your dad and brother. Yikes! Chucky used to freak me out as well. Now it's just the Exorcist and will continue to be the Exorcist. That was the one movie I had to constantly place my hands over my eyes.

Nice vid. I really liked the beginning; nice touch with the rewind/fast-forward sound effect as well, haha. It's cool knowing which scenes you picked based on the songs, ;P

Chuckie really does look like a Rugrat. I don't like him. I love the Child's Play movies though!! I have them all and Bride and Seed of Chucky on dvd.  big_smile

Re: best JoA moments

Yeah, my dad and brother are really jackasses wink

Thanks, Soph.  The rewind/fast-forward was actually a sound affect from the show, when Joan was daydreaming.  I really needed it too since it sounded awful with the songs just abruptly ending.

I've been teasing with this idea for a while, then one my friends sent me the song I used for Adam, saying I had to use it in a music video for Adam.  And after I tried and failed (three times) to make an entire music video for it, this happened.

Thanks.

I just realized, I posted this in the wrong thread :embarrassed:  But you could say it's a big collage of some of the best moments.

Re: best JoA moments

Chucky DOES NOT look like a Rugrat! I dunno what Rugrats you've been watching, Melody, lol.

Oh! It was from the show, Laura! Weird, and I was just watching "Romancing the Joan" before school. It works.

I find it amazing that I've seen some of your vids without knowing it was yours, haha. Does anyone else on here make fan-vids?

I would but I'm not that good at it and I'm too busy most of the time now. I definitely make JOA videos someday soon.  ; )

Re: best JoA moments

Laura, that's a trippy vid you did there.  I love the Joan Jett in the Grace clip!

Soph, I have never been able to watch The Exorcist.  Not even edited for TV. I tried once when I was a teenager, but I only got as far as the pea soup and I bailed.  I have never seen past that scene.  I will not even look at pictures from that movie.  There are many horror movies I just don't care to see, but nothing has ever shut me down like that one.

Trippy in a good way or a bad way? wink  And of course I used Joan Jett for Grace, what other song could be used for her?

Re: best JoA moments

I guess Chucky does look a tad like Rugrat Chuckie; their head is espeically shaped in a similar manner.. *shudder*... I need to think happy thoughts when I go to bed tonight.

Wow, Deb! I commend you on that one. I remember when Exorcist: The Beginning previews would constantly air on TV, I'd hurry and change the channel. Thankfully I'm usually looking down (doing my homework) or on the computer before I get to see anything. It's the damn eerie music! And everything else, obviously. It was hard to escape pictures of Linda Blair as the exorcist in jr. high because some people actually put the postcard picture on their folder *shudderx10000*.

Seeing the movie once in 6th grade is enough for me.

yikes No! I plan to stay away from anything in relation to that area (exorcism). Have you?

Re: best JoA moments

Yep. I saw it in theaters actually. It has a lot of dialogue and not that many violent scenes. Its okay I guess, kinda long.

Re: best JoA moments

Hmm, I didn't think The Exorcist had too many violent scenes and it freaked me out. The famous "f**k me" scene stands out and her pissing on the floor, but other than that.. no, not too much. Again, I last saw the movie in 6th grade- almost 9 years ago. I plan to keep it this way.

I don't like movies that make me more paranoid than I already am, hah.

Re: best JoA moments

Haha, it's not that bad regarding violence (since there are far more worst violent movies out there). The makeup was just done very well and same goes for the music and dialog. Oh, and the fact that it was based on actual events help. Or did not..
