Hotlanta is a winter wonderland today. This might not look like much to some of you from colder climates, but to us, it's a big deal. We're only halfway to the amount of snowfall predicted. And round two is just ramping up out there right now. By tonight, we could have twice as much as we do right now.

Oh wow, that's kinda freaky. Of course I recognize that place. I kinda wish we had snow here now. Although it's always a bit of a nuisance when you drive a car...

It feels all Christmasy. I keep singing Walking In A Winter Wonderland and Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow. I'm bummed about not going to see Cloverfield, but it's the kinda day you just wanna stay home, eat junk and be lazy.

It snowed a little where I live earlier this afternoon. All the snow is gone now though.

Yeah, we know we're wimps. It's about 2 inches now. We may get 4. But it really does shut the world down around here.

Since I grew up in a place where any sort of precipitation was a rare occurence, I was not at all prepared for the winter here in Massachusetts. It's been snowing since late November, I think, and I still haven't gotten used to it. My brother and I keep saying that what's baffling us the most is that it doesn't get warmer during the day. Down in Arizona, it'd be kind of chilly in the morning, then it would heat up and you'd feel like a moron for wearing a sweatshirt. Here it's just always cold.

I really, really miss heat.

We have plow trucks and salt and sand (and gravel) trucks. But we don't have very many and we have soooooo many roads. They only do the main ones and the expressways. The side streets are always a problem. So far today, it's not cold enough for it to stick to the roads. That's going to change tonight. We have a lot of melted precip on the streets right now that is going to freeze over. I won't be leaving the house again until it's all clear.

Last time we had it bad, I was trying to be a good employee and go to work and I hit a patch and slid into a concrete divider, tore up the driver's side front wheel. Cost me $500 to fix. I won't even try it anymore.

I know how that is. I used to live in Hawaii. It never got colder than 60 degrees. I've finally seen snow for the first time in at least 8 years since I moved to Georgia. The only difference between our views on the snow is that I love it!! But I wish a snow or ice day would happen during the week already so I can get out of school.

I've never seen snow, unless you count seeing covering the top of the mountain. Can't really say I have a huge hankering to encounter snow anytime soon, either.

Gee is it cold here today.

Last nights low was -8 and as of 2:50 it's only 3 above. For some reason Chicago is 10 above.

Weather Channel is still saying it'll get to 9 here, but I highly doubt it.

At least it's going to warm up. Monday's high is forecast to be 42.

There is the old rule that when Alaska is cold, were warm, when they are warm we get very cold.
