Today's high will be near 48, then the cold front goes through and temps drop like a rock. By tomorrow morning the low will be 2 above. So a 46 degree drop in a day.
Plus we are under a Winter Storm Warning through Wednesday @ Noon, Only about 4 inches of snow expected, but winds up to 50 MPH, so that's probably why. It'll create white-out conditions.

So it got to around 50 today. It's been nice most of the day. About an hour ago it started to get really windy. Just had some heavy rain go through, it sounded like it was mixed with sleet or very small hail. It's now 33 degrees.

It is now going to get down to -1 tonight, so in less than 24 hours our temps will drop at least 50 degrees. Which is one of the biggest temp drops in one day we've ever had around here.

At least they've downed the amount of snow to just about 2 inches, but the high winds will be why we are still under a Winter Storm Warning thru 9AM tomorrow.

They are warning that the rain we've had today could create a flash freeze and traffic could be hazardous tonight and tomorrow morning.

Ha, and they're predicting snow for Saturday here as well. I know, not remotely as spectacular as what's going on in Illinois, but it would still be a change for us. I hope all the budding hazel, alder and birch blossoms die a horrible freeze death! I mean, it's not even February, and already I'm hating pollen season!

Word of the day today has to be "ingenuity". Anyone need a lesson on how to repair your broken Mini Maglite with aluminum foil? Ask me. I just did it. Downside is I had to buy another one first to see what was actually wrong with it. But I guess you can never have too many good flashlights. I'll keep one in the car, I think.

Getting hit by a fairly big snow here this morning.
Already have about 6 inches on the ground. Forecast is for 8 to 1 inches total, more towards Chicago proper and NW Indiana.

The roads are snow covered and I haven't seen one plow go by yet.

Here we go again.

Under another Winter Storm Warning.

Right now just getting rain here, but it's already snowing up North.

They are forecasting 8-10 inches here. -- Up North from Chicago & Westward is expected 8-12 inches. Up North towards the Wisconsin line expecting 12-14 inches.

We are sure to have over 50 inches of snowfall this year.

Up North got hit though with about 8 inches or more up there,

Aaaaaaaaaaaah, I have to cover for three people at work today who all called in sick this morning. The 'flu plague has hit! Thus my day's most probably gonna be crazy busy. Not a nice way to start the week.
