Yep, pretty much.
The weirdest experience with Martin that I had was that I once ran into him in the street when I was shopping. Total coincidence. The kind of thing you, as a fan, always dream about. Well, it wasn't quite like that because we had already met, like, three times before, so I called him out by name and he recognized me. Took me for a coffee in a nearby café for a quick chat that day, actually.
And it wasn't all that much of a coincidence, because it was when we were both living in the same city. Still, in a city with round about 600,000 inhabitants, how likely is it that you run into one of your favorite actors in the middle of the street? Just one of those weird things that fate must have a hand in. I also met his wife and his daughter once. He's got a son now too. I'm curious to hear what they're up to now.

Wow TeeJay, he sounds extremely pleasant and down to earth. I have a bunch of favorite theater actors as well, but I always get wicked nervous after the show and have never had the guts to stand outside of the stage door to tell them how awesome they were in the show. I gotta learn to stop being so shy.

Wow, that's really cool, TeeJay. I always thought it was just bands/musicians that would do that
Hmm, I wish I were shy rather than saying stupid stuff I'll later regret.. but then I'd regret not saying what I want to say, I bet. I always lose.

Adam: "No way. Why?
Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

Here's a few impressions from the Unterbacher See (a lake 20 minutes from here) where Ralf and I went for a walk this afternoon. Enjoy!

Which is kinda ironic because the weather was great that day and there were tons of people walking round the lake with us, in front of us, behind us... That picture was taken a little off the beaten path, though, so I guess it fits. (And sorry to have ruined your mental picture. LOL)

Hahaha, I wouldn't have guessed and it's okay, the statement itself is ironic ;D
Have any of you seen Julie Walters, Rupert Grint and Laura Linney in "Driving Lessons"? The pics remind me so much of the scenery where Evie and Ben (Julie Walters and Rupert Grint) went to the lake and she says one of the greatest quotes ever: "Life is confusing. Just when we think it's all over, it throws a view like this [the lake] at us and we don't know where we are." Very beautiful.

I thought it was a superb movie. Maybe I am a tad biased because of Rupert flippin' Grint, but there were so many great roles and Laura was superb in it as well (minus her American accent coming out at times). I thought Nicholas Farrell, who plays the father, was especially grand. I think he may have been overlooked because of his subtle role. Really though, all of the characters and their stories were heart-wrenching in their own ways.

You should! A lot of people thought I was looking too much into the movie when I compared something to someone, so if you ever get a chance to watch it, tell me what you think and if you thought the same ;]

Ohh, it also played on Valentine's Day on Starz channel ;/ I would have mentioned it on here if I knew someone was actually interested in the film.. It's really lame how they had to change/dub the curse words for us Americans since we're innocent and all.

I too loved Driving Lessons. Very cute, very underrated. Great performances all around. They should have copies at a Blockbuster, Deb, since that was how I first saw the movie.

I love Bren from riley-smith.net and she has a great site, but, well... if you wanna see a fansite design that is totally cluttered and wild, I suggest you check out their new design. Am I the only one who finds it just a little too "loud"? And, I mean, purple and pink for a site about a guy?? Guess beauty is still in the eye of the beholder.

I don't think it's loud, because it's not extreme purple and pink but... yeah. Bad color choices for a site about a guy. Stick to earth tones and blues
