Re: The Brothers Marquette

No, he's more of a foolish kid with a death wish. This group of teenagers imitated those reality shows like MTV's Jackass, doing their own really dangerous and stupid stunts. Why they end up in the episode is because they though it would be a fun thrill, letting a spinning and firing machine gun drop down a bamboo stick in an abandoned storage hall somewhere. One of the kids was hit by a stray bullet in the chest and died. That's when the CSI guys come in and try to determine how he died.

But Eric is kinda cocky in the one scene where he speaks, mouthing off towards the cop who interviews him. And this is my turn to confess that for a while, when there was this kind of Jackass hype a few years back, I was really into the show. I think I've seen pretty much every episode of Jackass. It wasn't so much the fact that I wanted to be like them or thought they were cool. I always thought it was really stupid and some things really dangerous and pretty much all of them way foolish, but that had a kind of appeal to me that let me tune in to their show repeatedly. (I always liked Bam Margera best, the stupid little weirdo. But I wouldn't wanna be his parents.) When I watched it, I was always like: Geez, these crazy maniacs, WHY are they doing that to themselves???

I have not seen Jackass - The Movie, I have to add to my defense, though. But I think some day I just might. But I won't go as far as buying the DVD. And how did I end up talking about Johnny Knoxville and his manic set of friends in the Chris's Brothers thread? wink

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Oh, I remember seeing that episode on TV here! It was kinda funny because I was bored and I normally don't watch CSI or CSI:Miami (I`m a huge fan of CSI:NY though), so I turned on the TV and there was this episode just about to start, so I watched it. And suddenly there was Eric's name on the screen. LOL

I just watched the clip. Hey, am I the only one who thinks this voice is pretty deep? I still know that they gave him a very teenage-sounding voice in the German version which I didn't like that much but I don`t like any synchonizations, so this is pretty obvious.  Just wanted to ask if you think so, too.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Yup, I also thought Eric's voice was pretty deep, especially seeing how he was... how old in that ep? It was shot in 2003, I think. So let's assume he's one or two years Chris's junior, then he would have been 17 or 18 then, right? So it's not only the eyebrows that run in the family? LOL

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Hey TeeJay, Sean M. download alert!

Just saw a commercial for a show I've never seen called Standoff, but it really caught my eye.  Looked interesting.  And then I saw Sean.  Check this out:

Episode Detail: Peer Group - Standoff

In a revenge-of-the-nerds case (LOL!), Matt and Emily must negotiate with three armed teen geeks who have taken two athletes and a pretty girl hostage and are taunting them---live on a Web site they have set up via real-time video. And when CNU blocks the site, they threaten to kill the cool kids. For Emily, the case is personal: She had been bullied herself as a teen. Matt, on the other hand, had been a bully.

He plays a character named Mike, I think.  I'll be taping it.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Just checked some websites. Standoff seems to be readily available, so I'll try to get the ep tomorrow night. Shouldn't be too difficult, I just can't download overnight with Neo, so it might take a day or two. I'll let you know.

Cool.  I'll post something after I watch the show.  Let you know if it was any good.  I forgot to mention that Sean's hair is a little longer than it has been lately.  Of course, I like that.  smile

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Standoff is a pretty intense little show.  I like the cast.  Sean was great as always.  He had a few more lines than he's had in a while.  And toward the end, he's adorable in his nerdy glasses with his mussed hair.  Worth keeping and capping, definitely.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Only had time and energy to do one screencap for you because the ep just finished downloading. Will make more when I have more time, but here's shaggy-haired nerdy-glasses Sean for you. I don't think I would have recognized him easily if I hadn't known it was him. Wow. Talk about a make-over. And not in a good way.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

In the later scenes, he's pretty cute.  I don't mind the glasses at all.  And the older he gets, the more his voice sounds like Chris.  Of course I love that.  Also, I recognized him in the commercial the other night only from the side in a very brief shot.  There's something about that Marquette jawline that just pops.
