Re: The Brothers Marquette

You know what just hit me during lunch? In that picture that I posted, Sean reminds me a lot of John Billingsley. Does anyone else see the similarity? Maybe it's the nerdy glasses...

Re: The Brothers Marquette

The name didn't exactly ring a bell, but why is there imdb? I checked and I have to say, yeah, there is kind of a similarity.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

I kinda wanna see the episode first before I cap it in its entirety. But with Bosco in the shop until Saturday, I don't see me doing that. Well, I suppose I could rearrange my bed into a make-shift couch and watch it on Neo. Well, actually... my mom said they'd like a DVD player for x-mas, so I'm gonna buy one tonight. It also plays DivX files. Maybe I could give it a shot as a test-run. Hey, sounds good to me! smile

Re: The Brothers Marquette

I just watched the episode. Wow, good stuff. Sean's part wasn't that big, though. And not that dialogue-heavy. A little more than on The 4400, yeah. But it's not like he talked a lot. I wish it wouldn't have been that murkily dark all the time, you barely got a good look at him. I'm gonna do screencaps later for you guys. Vidcaps will have to wait until I get my laptop back. This is gonna be hard to vidcap, though. There's such a lot of cutting back and forth. I'll just try to get some of the best Sean scenes.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Okay, this blond guy, Owen, looked totally familiar. Now I know why. He was in a Medium episode from season 2 (Sweet Child O' Mine). I think he played the guy the oldest Dubois daughter had a crush on. And he did a pretty damn fine job in this Standoff episode. Intense stuff. Good TDA from him.

One thing that I really liked (and this is me being the computer geek again): They actually showed a computer using Windows. Not some fake lame-ass mock thing that doesn't look like any operating system I've ever seen. You actually had the blue Windows XP title bars and once they also showed the Alt + Tab window-switching menu. Thumbs up!

Here's your brand new screencaps:

What's that weird-ass donkey thing on his t-shirt??

Nice caps. The glasses make look him a little weird, I think. But that's okay.
Yeah, that t-shirt donkey is really weird. LOL

Re: The Brothers Marquette

I wanted to add: Cool role for Sean, too. He said in an interview somewhere that he likes doing computer stuff. Looks like he was the computer geek in this episode. Long live the nerds! <proudly holds up her nerd sign> big_smile

Did you notice that Sean has really crooked teeth in his lower jaw? But I kinda like that. Gives him personality.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

The donkey is a pinata.  No idea what the significance of that is.  I just noticed for the first time that Sean's bottom teeth look like mine, the same kind of crooked.  Poor kid.  LOL!

Okay, so here's the latest Sean vidcaps from the Standoff episode "Peer Group" for you. I don't know if these snippets make sense to anyone who hasn't seen the episode. We can give you a quick overview over what happened if you want. Just let us know.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Btw, the episode was directed by Robert Duncan McNeill, formerly Lt. Tom Paris on Star Trek: Voyager. Looks like he's mostly into directing now. He directed a couple of Star Trek episodes and I've seen his name pop up as director on some of the other shows I watch too. Can't recall which ones. So much for the trivia for tonight.

Wow, cool! Tom Paris was one of my favorite Voyager characters! And I didn't even know that he's also a director.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

I put up a more detailed filmo for Sean on our site last night. It's a link below the text for the Marquette bros on the Brother Connection page. So far it's only what's on IMDb. Anyone wanna help extending this (if necessary)?
