Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

I really wanted to finish "butterflies", but there are so many fanfics...I really had to read "the way back to you". it`s such a nice story. unfortunately it seems as if the author stopped finishing it:(
I like it, that our favorite couple have some difficulties. especially because of the long distance between them and their new friends and life at different colleges. but it seems that in the end they will make it.

I will continue reading "butterflies". but I always have to start some chapters back to get in the right mood...so it will take some time wink

@notsofiartale: wow, I see you almost finished it. I`m so excited to read the end. but there are so many chapters left to read:)

@TeeJay: thanks for your help smile

Do you guys now any other good fanfictions sites with JoA stories?

Yes. Laura's. smile http://community.livejournal.com/fic_crazed
She goes by magicalturkey here on the forum. And she writes awesome Adam/Joan stories.

joanofarcadia.com has a forum section called The Written Word where they're writing a 3rd season. But I couldn't get into it. There's another virtual season three out there, but they write Adam like a sad wimp, so I think most of us aren't very fond of it. They also seem to have discontinued it in the middle of the season. There haven't been any updates in months and their message board is littered with spam.

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

oh thank you very much!

oh and I found out that your story "butterflies" has its own website (http://beam.to/joa-butterflies). will you continue to fill in more content? because I see there are only 6 chapters of the story on the website...

I think its much easier and more enjoyable to read it there than in fanfiction.net. so thank you for this nice website, too! smile

today, I have not much time, but tomorrow is the day when I will read the next chapter of "butterflies". I`m so excited:D

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

Yeah, we're still working on completing the website for the story. I need to find some more time to make new banners because we wanna make one banner for each chapter. But it always takes time for me to make these as I have to find suitable pictures and then modify them. We have a lot of Fanboys photos we can use for 22-year-old Adam, but I usually have to shave him to use them for Butterflies. wink

As a general rule, the people at NEIAS despise Adam I think.  It's a Grace/Luke website, I expect bias... I honestly don't know why they even bothered to include Adam into their season three.    Adam's a hard character to write for, even harder when you don't like him.    And I secretly love that "Shadow" let her beloved website get taken over by Viagra ads... ok, maybe not so secretly

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

Zwanchen, you won't be able to finish Butterflies or get to the end anytime soon because it's an ongoing fic.  We've got two new chapters almost ready to go.  Hopefully it won't end for a very long time.

Am I really the only person here (other than Carol, I think) who's read all of Butterflies so far?  And... I've read it many times.  It gets better big_smile

Awwww, Laura, that's sweet.  Some of it is your fault too.  And Carol's.  TeeJay and I have read it a bunch of times ourselves.  I do love them smutty bits.  wink

I think that's going a bit far. And I'm pretty sure the reason they chose to include Adam is because it is a season 3. Not a sole Grace/Luke fic.

I know Shadow's given up on the forums because of the sheer volume of spam, but NEiAS continues to be one of the best JoA websites out there.

ETA: Shadow has also written some really good shortish fics with Grace/Adam in them.

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

I will finish "Butterflies" soon. I actually don't want to yet because that's just my way of holding on a little bit longer to Joan and Adam. I know the fic isn't done, but still..

Joan: "Wow. I always thought you'd hate me if I was a cheerleader."
Adam: "No way. Why?
Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

Thanks for understanding, Deb. And zwanchen!! That's such a nice thing to say; I'm not even part of the writing team, but that made me feel all tingly smile

Now I shall forever hide from this thread in case I read spoilers again! Not cool, haha.

Re: 2x19 Trial & Error

Thanks Zwan,  very nice words, indeed.  Anyone who can read a second language impresses me greatly.  I'm really flattered that you're enjoying the fic.  I hope it never ends too.  I could hang out with Adam and Joan forever.  We definitely have a lot more stories we want to tell.  I've actually had some flashes very far forward into the future of the Butterflies universe.  And I want to write those stories too.  For those of you who have read that far, God's suggestion in Bless This House that Adam & Joan's union has huge implications for the future and everyone around them comes full circle.  That's all I'm sayin.  wink
