I could have sworn I did. Where did you ask that? It's not in this thread. I think I answered it wherever you asked it.

I probably shouldn't say anymore about who liked it or not without betraying peoples' confidences.

Anyway, I never said I didn't like it. I just said it would be best watching it on a Friday night partying with friends and I didn't expect it to do well in theaters.

The Air I Breathe
was one of my favorite films of the last two years, yet I didn't think it would do well in theaters. And I was right. So just because I don't expect it to do well doesn't mean I didn't like it. Some of my favorite films have not done well in theaters and I didn't expect them to.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

Maybe I was too busy partying with friends when I read that to remember it later.  wink

You indicated that you were disappointed and we shouldn't expect too much.  And I don't think you'd worry about breaking people's confidence if they said they loved it.  Just sayin'.

Also, I think maybe because you're a serious film lover with discerning taste, your hopes and expectations for it are very different than mine.  I'd love for it to be brilliant.  But if it's not, I just want to be able to enjoy Chris's performance in role that seems to be completely different from anything he's ever done.  If I have fun watching him in it, it will get repeat viewings.  And maybe it will have been worth the wait.  I can already tell the screencaps are gonna be cool.  Doesn't take much to please me where he's concerned.

Same here...it could be a steaming pile of crap, but if Chris is in it, I'll watch it, repeatedly. However, I hope it (and all his movies) turns out to be at least somewhat decent. At least enough that he can be proud to have been part of it.

He's spoken very highly of this one, Donna.  For one thing, he's very proud of that improv in the party scene.  Tisha was also very enthusiastic about it.  And Sean used one of the very first screencaps we ever made from the trailer as his MySpace profile pic for a while.  I have a feeling I'm going to like it a lot, if for no other reason than getting to see Chris play a very different kind of guy than we're used to.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

Check this out, we have our first movie poster that Chris is officially on! (Okay, only in the background, but still...)

RTD_poster.jpg

The Facebook page also has some new stills with Chris and Sean:

RTD_01.jpg

RTD_02.jpg

RTD_03.jpg

RTD_04.jpg

Also check out rememberthedaze.com, there's a new 11-minutes behind-the-scenes thing. I feel cheated. They interview most every one of the actors except for Chris. He's only in it three or four times for, like, two seconds. But there's more of Sean in it (and also Michael Welch and Aaron Himelstein). Guess that's the disadvantage of having a huge ensemble cast.

They also list April 11 as theatrical release date (not April 18 as posted on IMDb). And they tell you what theaters the movie will show at.

Mike's hair looks like it's dyed blue in the front in that last pic.  I'm gonna have to make a crop of the first one, cut out the guy in yellow and lighten it so you can see Chris's fauxhawk better.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

You're not going to be able to see it on the big screen Mel.  Unless you can travel to LA, NY or DC.  Sad.  Guess we'll just have to wait for DVD.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

Is it just me or does that website suck with it's stupid "camera shutter" pointer?  It's so hard to get it settled over the video screen.  Did you guys watch the making of video?  Can you believe not one single second of Chris talking on camera?  Do these people even have a clue?  I wish we had the movie already so we wouldn't have to count on them for scraps.

I wish it would just come out on dvd right now. I can't wait! It's going to be great to see Chris and Sean have roles as brothers in a movie.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

Guys, don't get too excited. I don't think Sean and Chris will have a lot of screen time. Just keep in mind that the movie has a huge ensemble cast. I think there's around 12 main characters, and Chris and Sean are just two of them. And I have a feeling they're not the ones that they focus most on. But of course I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Can't wait!!

I was annoyed too that Chris was never once interviewed in the behind-the-scenes thing. But, again, it's a huge cast. I don't think they interviewed everyone. There must be at least two or three other actors of the main cast that never got to say a word. Chris was probably just not wherever the guy who filmed it was when they filmed that thing. I'm not expecting too much in terms of special features on the DVD. Again, for the same reason: It's a huge cast. And a really small movie.

Deb, I might have to rely on you to get me a copy of the DVD, though. Not sure I'll be able to order it on axelmusic.com, they might not carry it because it's such a small, unknown indie. I'll let you know, once June comes closer.

Re: Remember The Daze (formerly The Beautiful Ordinary)

They could've dropped one of the TEN times they let Khleo talk and let Chris talk just once.  He was in the background in a whole bunch of bits.  Even Sean was on camera takling a couple of times.

I wish Chris was in it more. There's a lot of other great actors in it but it would be totally awesome if he was the main character.
