Re: Randomness

So wait, you presented to 330 people then? This speech was for your class (hence the 30 folks) and classes that was connected to your speech class (300 people) then?

For example, say I have to present to my class, which has 10 students, but then other classes are doing the same thing, so they have to see me (and others) present and these classes have 30 students altogether, so once we all come together, that makes 40.. was that what you meant? If so, scary!

Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

Re: Randomness

Ya. And to make it worse I was the very 1st person to give mine. I ended up rushing it and talking to fast and not talking loud enough in some parts.

Re: Randomness

*shudders* Good thing you got that over with. Hahaha, I totally talk too fast! I like to think I talk fairly loud enough now, but who knows. I assume your last name starts with an A? Gotta love the first letters of the alphabet.

Re: Randomness

Yeah, he could have had sign-ups because doing it backward alphabetical order sucks as well (my last name starts with a C, so I'm usually not the first nor the last to present, which is good). Usually if I have a kick ass presentation or know I'll do well, I'd like to get it over with, but I haven't been feeling like that lately- maybe it's because they're group projects and they are weighing me down ;/ Why must I do everything?! These people want to become future teachers and yet they seem the most uncommitted and undesired to work hard. Sorry, had to vent neutral

Re: Randomness

I hate that about group projects! I always end up doing doing most of the work. I like working on my own a lot better.

Re: Randomness

Just had my car repaired today. About 2 days ago I started to hear this noise as I accelerated over 25 MPH and got louder the faster I went. So I went to my local repair shop and they said it was the wheel bearings, So had both fronts replaced, Cost me $440.

Re: Randomness

Yup, but wheel bearings is something not to delay in repairing. If you let it go the wheel could lock up while you're driving causing you to get in an accident.

Luckily I paid all of it out of IRS refund.

Re: Randomness

Yeah, I just had to get my brakes fixed recently and there was a recall on my car that was about wheel bearings.  Had to get that fixed too.

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!

Finally! big_smile

The bad thing is: I'll be away next weekend too.
The good thing is: I still do not have internet access at home (no, that's not the good thing, I know), but at least all the hardware has arrived now. I just need to wait until Vodafone finally activates my account.

Darn, I hit the "mark all topics as read" button by accident and now I lost track of the threads I haven't read and answered yet. Grrrr.

Try the "Show recent posts" at the bottom left of the index page. That'll at least show you everything that was posted in the last 24 hours.

I know that. But most of them were older posts. So that doesn't really help me.

Re: Randomness

It was so nice the last two days though, being able to open the back door and let some air in.  My kitty enjoyed hanging out at the back door, watching the birds through the screen.
