Uncle Chuckie's A/J are Mickey & Judy in those Andy Hardy movies from the 40's, I swear to God! They're so keen! I like the one where they were together for 5 years and never had sex. That was HIGHlarious!

There was some fic, maybe it wasn't Chuckie, where they got back together after Bonnie, but Joan still didn't wanna have sex. He stayed with her for 5 years with no sex and then the got married and pow, she was suddenly ready, just like you said. Made me giggle. And not in a good way.

I can see Joan not being ready, and Adam respecting that. And I can see her just wanting to wait, and Adam would probably respect that too (not as easily, though). But wanting to wait and not being ready are two totally different things.

If they got married and she still wasn't ready for some reason, I have a feeling Adam would be ok with that too. Not for long. But if she really, truly just isn't ready then there's nothing that would make her sleep with him. And she probably shouldn't be getting married in that case

Ah, yes, the hotel. Well, even I might not have been ready for that just yet. They were pretty new together. But in the camper... mmmmmhmmmm. We need to get back to our little innocent baby steps toward sex fics. Those were really fun and really hot. Sigh.

Yeah they need more "practice". It really bothered me that Adam couldn't wait a little longer for Joan. Not that I would have made him wait either, I would have taken him on the porch in Do the Math, or probably earlier. but they could have just had fun with all the other stuff for a while. Write more of that. Or you know what I'd like to read. An AU where Adam is the one who wants to wait, but Joan is ready. Btw guys, I am loving all thewonderful fan fic out there. There is so much, but I am loving every minute/hour/day of it. Haha I am so addicted it's pathetic.:drool:

This might not be exactly what you're talking about, but the first thing I thought of when I read that was Alexandri's 'Then Everything Changes'. It was written early in season two, I think. Particularity, this part

It had never occurred to her that Adam might have reservations. She'd just always assumed that he was sitting on ready, waiting for her to be ready, too.

I wrote a new Adam/Joan one. Joan attempts to make dinner, using a recipe of her dad's. One thing she forgot, Roves don't have the defined pallet that the Girardis do. And it was almost called "Untitled", aren't you guys happy I came up with such a unique and memorable name?

PS: I tried to read that Alexandri one you recommended yesterday and realized I'd already read it. I think I liked it OK the first time, but I couldn't get through it last night because I just can't fathom two people madly in love, together for 5 whole years without ever having sex. Call me crazy. I just don't get it. I can understand it when Joan's like 16-17. But 22-23? Nope. Just can't wrap my brain around it. That sounds like a serious hang-up to me. If I was her I'd go talk to Dr. Dan. Quick.
