Best Buy will have the 2-disc set in a Steelbook for $22.99.
So I'll buy that one - they tend to sell out quickly.
This is what the Steelbook looks like minus the Blu-Ray logo:

Kind of off point, but Deb you mentioned in this thread that you were going to watch "once", but I didn't see where you said what you thought about it. Just curious what people thought about it here. I loved it, but my wife and son both just thought it was just okay.

I've actually seen it too now. I liked it a lot, I definitely found it more than "just okay". The music was magical in its own way, the way it was used and portrayed. I was actually considering to buy the soundtrack for a little while, but when I listened to it again I realized that it's just not the same when you only hear the songs and don't watch the movie with it.
I had a bit of a hard time with the accent, but I guess that's to be expected, coming from a non-native speaker who's only been to Ireland twice (and never had extensive contact with the locals there).

I still need to watch it, Rick. I've got a big stack of great movies I need to dive into.

I did buy the album (it is so easy now, just download it on itunes), and I know what you mean. I liked the songs a lot more in the movie than just listening to them, although I do still like a couple of them.

What I loved most about Once was that it was so down-to-earth. A true story about dreams mingling with real life, about people like you and me and about love and friendship and bonds. I thought it was really well done. And of course it helped that I had just been to Dublin myself last year. Some of the places downtown, I have walked myself, like the park right at the beginning where he chases the thief.

That was what made it special for me. It is about the small details of real life and real love. The most special moments in life can be little things, small gestures. And that love isn't always the simple easy situations which happen in movies. Hard to say the rest of my thoughts without serious spoilers, so I will leave it at that.
