You are totally right, Irina. It's a much better movie than most people imagine. And Rubber!Face!Chris is just so incredibly endearing. What I love about Eli is that he's all talk. He had a porn star as a prom date, but he still didn't get laid. And he totally could've. I think the Tripod had great chemistry. Let's not leave Paul Dano out. He's absolutely wonderful. Our Kiltzy. Great cast all around and everyone was terrific. The Risky Business thing didn't bother me because this movie was so much more fun.

And infinitely quotable. Let the games begin...

Eli's very first words on screen: "I just gotta fuck something."

yes eli's character is really great. and the fact that is klitsy that turns out to be the one saving the tripod is a really nice thing in the movie.

I think this is the movie where I first noticed Chris. He reminded me of a baby John Cusack, who I LOVE. And then I found you guys and I now love Chris all on his own!

huge thing apart, i keep telling my friends some of memorable chris's lines from this movie. the thing is that when i say it sounds, well, not funny :embarrassed: and my efforts to make any of them watch the movie have not paid off so far :embarrassed:

I'm looking at it trying to remember how. I'd do it but my drives are occupied .

I know you pause it where you want it, and then along the bottom are a line of blue buttons. The third one from the left looks like a little camera. When you put your cursor on it it says "Capture Frame". I know you have to tell it somehow where you want the screencap file saved. That's the part I can't remember.

Well, I just learned that my DVD ROM is Region 2 because it's German. Damn. None of my "real" DVDs will work in it. TeeJay gave it to me along with some not so legal JoA DVDs a long time ago.
