He was a great actor with many memorable roles. He'll be missed.

I don't know what I wanna say about the guy yet, as a human being. Except he always stuck to his guns, both metaphorically and literally. I did love him in the original Planet Of The Apes. And Soylent Green. And The Ten Commandments. I really did. But he was one of those actors I always thought of as "effective". He was never really very deep and never transparent. He was always Chuck Heston. In every damn thing he did. And yet he was a huge Movie Star. No denying that. I was never sure why. Still, I am sure of one thing, if he had ever been able to let go of himself and disappear into something, he could've had a much more interesting career.

Omega Man is a bit dated to today's standards, but I really enjoyed him in that on top of the other's Deb mentioned!
