Judging Amy

Most of you have probably already seen this, but I made our own vidcap of Chris's "Judging Amy" appearance. How old was he when he did it? 15? Wait a minute, this is from 2001. So he was 16 or 17. Wow... I mean, he always kinda looked younger than he was, but he looks like 12 in this ep (no offense).

But still, great performance! Go, tear ducts, go! big_smile

So, here's the clip for you. 8 minutes of pure but agonizing Chris pleasure. 17.5 MB in size:
www.chris-marquette.com/media/videos/JudgingAmy_2x13.wmv

You can watch the same clip in German if you are so inclined, German dubbing and all. It's not the same voice he has on JoA and GND, though (which, thankfully, is the same) (17.3 MB):

Re: Judging Amy

Awesome!  I've been dying to see this again.  That scene when he finally explains what happened just tears my heart out.  I'll be downloading and watching this as soon as I get home.  Man, he should let us produce his next demo reel!

Re: Judging Amy

Yeah, it's a pretty heartbreaking performance. He should indeed let us do his demo reel. We'd know exactly what to put on there that goes out and touches people, right? How do these things work? Does he decide which scenes to use or does his agent do that for him? I think Martin (Lindow) pretty much chose himself what he wanted to have on his demo reel (which I have).

I love that performance. I can't watch it without getting a knot in my stomach ... it's just too impressive.
Oh yeah, this should definitely be on his demo reel!

Re: Judging Amy

I think usually, it's a combination of actor and agent chosing the clips for the reel.  They may also have different reels for different kinds of jobs.  He probably has a kid reel and an adult reel since he's been at this so long.

Re: Judging Amy

Damn, that's an awesome piece of work from Chris! Thanks for the effort you put into cutting that together, Teejay. It's excellent. Best quality we've had so far.

Re: Judging Amy

You're welcome. Thank the person who offered it for download. I'd love to make screencaps, but the quality of the video's not good enough for that. I'm working on a better version right now that would probably be good enough for caps, but it's not doing much. I've let the thing run overnight, but it hasn't downloaded anything because there only ever seem to be one or two persons online who have the file. Right now there's no one. I've been trying for over a week, and I've only got 72 out of 350 MB so far. But maybe I'll get there if I'm patient enough.

Oh yes, it is. It's the reason why I became his fan after all. Okay, after I learned that Colin is played by the same guy who played Adam on JoA. LOL But the Judging Amy performance was the first time I saw him on TV and that's the important thing. wink
The quality is awesome. Way better than all those clips I downloaded before. Now I can delete them and download the better version.

Re: Judging Amy

I myself actually prefer him in the dramatic roles. I mean, he's great at comedy, but I just dig the way he can make you cry. I was gonna write something about that in the Grey's Anatomy thread in a minute or two, so come over there for more discussion about TDA (tear duct action).

Re: Judging Amy

I hope you didn't cry seeing him in Just Friends or Girl Next Door! smile But, hey, I'm a cry-baby too. Whenever it gets emotional, no matter if it's sad or happy or sappy, those tears start rolling. However, I'm not ashamed. It's part of what makes me enjoy TV and movies so much.

Oh yeah, I'm a cry-baby, too. But I'm also able to do that crying because of laughing thing with comedies. LOL

Re: Judging Amy

Peek, have you seen him in Touched By An Angel - An Angel On my Tree?  If you cry at the drop of a dramatic hat, how could you even breathe during that one?  I barely could.  But I cry at sappy commercials for goodness sake!
