I'm not sure, but I think Laura was kidding.  He might have a younger brother, but I don't think he's that actor.  I think there is around a 20-year difference in their ages.

Re: Misc. Stuff

Yeah well, I kind of guessed she was joking too. I read yesterday that he also has a son from a sperm donation. Hahaha. (Not that I would care about that but I have to admit, it sounded funny at first. Maybe they just said that because of April 1.)

Re: Misc. Stuff

Hello again my friends, just thought I'd give a little update on the Cartoon Network Upfront press conference that took place yesterday, and any news concerning the animated show Sean is involved in.  Actually the Upfront barely mentioned anything about it, so we (the fans) were still in the dark until this evening.  The creator and producer of the show Craig McCracken himself came onto the fan board and shared the news that the show is now in its last season.  Most fans were prepared for the worst, so although sad, they took it very well.  I'm still concerned about some of the show's biggest fans though, some of whom haven't even heard the news yet.   sad

The news is already spreading like wildfire through the Foster's Fandom.  I'm glad this news is official now though.  It had four great years of giving us laughs, heartwarmings, and shared adventures.  I'll miss hearing Sean's voice as an 8 year old.  But at least we'll still have the rest of the final season to look forward to, and then many years of reruns.  But still, I can feel something inside me crying.   :crying:

Aww!  I'm so sorry, Lynnie.  I never saw the show, but it sounds adorable.  I love the idea of a home for outgrown security blankies!  I know there are a lot of people who will really miss it.

Re: Misc. Stuff

I guess this might get moved to the Juno thread.  I rented the single disk version before I got the 2-disk version in the mail.  To me it's not the second disk that makes it so much better.  The second disk is just a digital copy of the movie that you can transfer to your computer or iPod or whatever.  That's a nice feature, I guess.  But I don't really care about that so much.  The first disk has four different featurettes that aren't on the single disk version.  They're all interesting and I think they're worth the extra 6 bucks.

I knew you were gonna say that.  From what I've seen you're the best photographer in the bunch of us.  We'll all take pictures, of course.  But just imagining what you could do, considering that you know how to actually use your camera, got me daydreaming about the gorgeous pictures you could take.

What I'd like to see happen --- and we can try to set this up ahead of time with Rankin ---- is that we get to talk to all of them together, like a panel, which we could video record somehow.  And they later, maybe we could get half an hour with Chris.  You and I could interview him, with the other Dorquettes acting as an audience.  But they would also each get to ask a question.  It would be cute if we could do it on video.

I volunteer to be behind a camera or video camera or tape recorder or whatever. There is no way I will be able to get two words out of mouth to ask a question or anything, but if he look stright in the camera while I am filming, I just might die.
You guys better put me on the audience list for any interview we do get. i live here, I wanna go!!!!

Re: Misc. Stuff

Donna, you'll feel comfortable with him in no time. He's just a regular dude. And he'll make you realize that pretty quickly. These guys are just people like you and me, I swear. There is no need to be nervous around him. But if you volunteer to be behind the camera, that's just fine with me. I'd much rather look him in the eye in person than through a camera. But I might try and get a few shots of my own of him if I can.

First of all, we have to hope he'll be there. He might be working or have some other reason not to be able to go.

Donna, of course you'll be there with us!  We're all crashing out on your living room floor, remember?  wink  tongue

Just kidding.  But yeah, we'll find a way to get video this time if it kills us.

In fact, we should probably e-mail Chris before and ask him to think of a few lines he might wanna say to his fans. I'd love to shoot a little video we can put up on the site for everyone.

Yeah, good luck with that.  He doesn't like making "speeches".  We'd be lucky if we could just get him to say hi to everyone.

Re: Misc. Stuff

I know he doesn't like to drone on forever. That's why I'd like to e-mail him before so he doesn't have to sit there and stutter something he has no time to prepare. Still, a quick hi would be cool, wouldn't it? At least that way he'd get the chance to think about a sentence or two he'd like to tell folks.

That is a good idea. He seems like a nice guy and I am sure he knows how hard you guys work on his website. Hopefully he won't mind making a little video hello for you to post here exclusively. You can always get his mom to guilt him into it. Because without you guys, where would all of us dorkettes go for our chris fix.

Re: Misc. Stuff

oh and it doesn't matter how down to earth he is. I am a loser, I couldn't even talk to "real" guys. So throw his hotness into the mix and I am going to be a babbling idiot. Nope a quick hello will do me just fine. I really hope he will be at the festival. We are looking so forward to it. It would suck if has a prior commitment. Oh well I suppose its out of our hands, but maybe you guys can let him know that we will be there and he will have more incentive to try and make it. He'd cancel, SNL or David Letterman for us right? ha

Re: Misc. Stuff

I'm sure he'll be as accomodating to us at the fest as he has been previously.  He's a very generous guy.  As long as time permits, we should be able to get what we're hoping for.  I'm also excited to meet Rankin and Ray Wise.

Donna, you're married, right? How'd that happen, then? wink

Oh, you can be sure we'll e-mail him about the festival as soon as we know Infestation's gonna show there. Which might not be before July or August.

Re: Misc. Stuff

Well, we already did mention to him in the last email that we're hoping to go to the fest if he makes it.  I kinda wished we'd specifically said that Rankin invited us so he doesn't think we're stalking him.  Because if Rankin hadn't said that, we never would've even dreamed of trying to go.

There'll be another chance to say that to Chris. He knows that if we wanted to stalk him, we'd already have turned up at his mom's house or called his cell a million times.

Why not. That's what fans do. I mean your not crazy and trying to steal a piece of his hair on anything. Your just truying to get a sneak preview of one of his film and as administration of his fan website you have an obligation (not exactly the right word but you know what I mean)to provide us with the most up to date exclusive info you can get. There's nothing stalkerish about that, or wait maybe I'm just a stalker in denial...oh no!

Well, I didn't mean literally stalk.  Please.  We're the most well-behaved fans I've ever known.  I just think it would've sounded less weird if we'd mentioned that Rankin invited us.

Re: Misc. Stuff

Yesterday for dinner I had a Hungry Man "Bourbon Steak Strips" dinner.

I have never had bourbon steak strips before and the package made it look so good.

The sauce completely ruined it. It was so damn sweet it almost made me throw up. The only good thing about the dinner was the green beans and the rice that wasn't touched by the sauce.

I'm never buying that flavor again.

Re: Misc. Stuff

Most frozen dinners have questionable flavors in them.  The only ones I like are Marie Calender's.  Big fan of the turkey & dressing one.
