Does that mean people will have to dress and act like Fraggles? LOL
Then I know the perfect guys for the lead roles! Can you guess who?

Anyone else see those pictures of Colin Farrell all... emancipated? Dude needs fed!
Perez Hilton's website is the only place that seemed to have the picture, I saw it on TV about half an hour ago. The picture might be a little disturbing to some so view at your own risk.

He does look bad, but have you ever seen Christian Bale in The Machinist? Here's a good comparison between the way he looked in that film (like a skeleton with skin) and Batman...

Matt Damon did the same thing in "Courage Under Fire". It was really shocking how emaciated he was.

Oh yeah, I always forget about that one. He was great.
Speaking of miscellaneous, the Quantum Leap ep tonight has Paul Sand and half the cast of Northern Exposure. Well, Janine Turner and John Cullum anyway. Hey, that also qualifies as a Chris co-stars alert.

Anyone wanna see a glimpse of what Uncle Les has in store for us next season over at CBS...?
Go here: http://www.tvweek.com/news/2008/05/upfront_video.php Clips from all 6 shows. Casting is gonna make me sample a few of them, but none of them really look like winners. Gee, imagine that.

— "The 11th Hour," a Jerry Bruckheimer-produced drama about a paranormal investigator
and then...
— "The Mentalist," a drama about a celebrity psychic-turned-detective
Why does that almost sound like the same basic premise? Strangely enough, those are the only two that sound even remotely interesting to me.

The 11th Hour looks more like Miracles/X Files. The Mentalist looks like another cheesy rip-off of Medium. Or should I say Uncle Les is ripping off himself and the poofy-haired hour-long lingerie ad? Casting will force me to give both of them a shot though. Rufus Sewell and Marc Blucas in the former, and Simon Baker in the latter. Pretty, pretty boys. Ahem!

Critics Go Postal Over Boll Film
The only film producer challenging Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with a new release this weekend is the critically despised German director Uwe Boll, who has managed to find 17 theaters across the country to show his R-rated Postal. It's based on a video game about a man who "goes postal" and begins shooting everything and everyone in sight. The movie includes scenes of the the 9/11 hijackers crashing into the World Trade Center while discussing the virgins they're sure to win when they arrive in paradise. Another scene shows Osama Bin Laden and George Bush holding hands as they walk into a mushroom cloud. When virtually every major theater chain, including AMC and Regal, the nation's two largest, turned it down, Boll distributed it himself, sometimes even renting theaters, but even many of the theaters that have agreed to show it are only doing so at odd hours. "We're running in Austin only at midnight at the Alamo. How are you going to do box office if you're not going to play five times a day?" Boll asked in an interview with MTVNews.com. In the New York area, the movie is only playing in outerborough Brooklyn.
And, cool...
ABC To Show Hi-Def Video On Your PC
ABC said on Thursday that it has developed a new video player for its websites that, among other things, will allow online viewers to watch its programs full-screen and in high definition. They will also be able to search for particular scenes in the programs by viewing thumbnail pictures. The network said it will debut the video player sometime in the fall but did not provide a date. Albert Cheng, executive vice president of digital media for Disney-ABC Television Group said in a statement, "Our desire to continually push the envelope to create 'what's next' delivers a widely accessible, world-class viewing experience to consumers and unparalleled returns to advertisers."

The name sounds familiar, but that's all. Never heard of the movie or whatever he's doing with it. I usually only check the two theaters in my area that show OV movies, and I don't believe his movie ever showed there. Maybe that's for the better... Can't say it sounds like a movie I'd wanna watch.
The HD player sounds great. But I'm probably not gonna benefit from it. The US networks only offer full length TV episodes for people from the US. When they realize you're surfing from a non-US server, they won't let you access the episodes. Copyright reasons, no doubt. Oh well... It's still a cool feature for those who can use it.

Hollywood studios, AFTRA agree on contract
The agreement, modeled on a deal with directors, puts pressure on SAG to come to terms. Preservation of performers' control over use of film clips is a key point.
By Richard Verrier and Claudia Eller, Los Angeles Times Staff Writers
8:51 AM PDT, May 28, 2008The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists early this morning reached a new contract with Hollywood studios, increasing pressure on the larger Screen Actors Guild to secure its own agreement as negotiations resume today.
The tentative accord, coming after nearly three weeks of negotiations, was modeled on a pact that ended the 100-day writers strike in February. If the contract is ratified, AFTRA would become the third Hollywood union to accept a deal based on the contract negotiated by directors last year, making it tougher for SAG to argue that its members deserve significantly better terms.
"This is a challenging time in the entertainment industry, and this was a tough negotiation," said AFTRA President Roberta Reardon. "Our ability to achieve these crucial breakthroughs for performers was a direct result of AFTRA members' pragmatic approach to collective bargaining."
AFTRA said the agreement preserves the long-standing right of performers to require their consent for the use of non-promotional clips of films and TV shows, a major sticking point in negotiations between studios and SAG.
The parties have tentatively agreed to jointly devise a system whereby the studios would not have to obtain permission for each clip, but a broader form of consent, such as approval for clips from an entire TV series.
Whether such a compromise will satisfy SAG leaders is unclear. SAG members were outraged over a studio proposal that would allow the studios to use clips on the Web without actors' consent. Actors have had control over their clips since 1960, but the studios argue that the rule is cumbersome and impedes their ability to build online business.
Parts of the proposed AFTRA contract could undercut some of SAG's initial bargaining demands. AFTRA, for example, did not win an increase in the decades-old home-video residuals formula.
The proposed agreement increases the pay actors receive from movies and TV shows sold online and establishes payments for programs streamed online. It also guarantees the union's jurisdiction over shows created for the Web that cost more than $15,000 a minute.
SAG leaders, however, have contended that the thresholds would exclude too many Web shows, opening the door to a pool of nonunion work. The guild has deals with hundreds of low-budget Web shows.
That was among the sticking points in talks between SAG and the studios, which broke off last month. SAG and AFTRA had planned to bargain jointly, as they had for 27 years, but a yearlong rift tore the unions apart.
Of SAG's 122,000 members, 44,000 also belong to AFTRA, which represents radio announcers, musicians and soap opera and cable TV actors. AFTRA does not represent feature film actors and covers only a few prime-time TV shows.
