Hey Carol, did you know that they tried to do a Remo Williams TV show and that Roddy McDowall played the "Asian" guy, Chuen? I have it on tape. It was really fun. Sessy Jeff Meek played Remo. Unfortunately, it didn't get past the pilot.

I don't know who Jeff Meek is, but Fred Ward was quite a looker back in his astronaut/Remo days. The last time I saw him in anything he was Denny, Sr. on Grey's.

Yeah, Fred Ward rocked da house in The Right Stuff. What a great movie! He was a damn good choice for Remo, too. But the script was pretty dull. The TV pilot covered the exact same territory --- an origin story. It was more entertaining and Jeff was just pretty. I wished it had worked. My favorite thing was Chuen (Roddy) talking about how Barabra Streisand was perfection personified. "In my home country, if we possessed such a creature, we would erect statues to her.". Wonder what Babs thought of that!

I'm sure she thought it was cute. She and Roddy were good friends. He might've even had something to do with adding in that dialog. Did you ever see Funny Lady? Roddy in drag was a helluva shocking sight to me when I was a kid!
