It was my word first! I got into the habit of using it in about 1995, when my boss (at the time) declared, "Thursday's such a nebulous day." Meaning sometimes it was busy as hell, sometimes it was dead, you could never tell until you were in it. I loved that.

I love it. But I do have a small suggestion. The thing about the couch is a bit confusing. At first I didn't realize that he was trying to talk her into coming in the house to use the couch in there and she was trying to stay in the shed on the crappy old wooden couch. Easy fix. Maybe you could change the sentence about going inside to something like...

"No, come on in the house. I'll set up the sofa-bed for you."
