That's a sad one! Really good, though. Did you ever write one that was the other way around, where she got an invitation to his wedding? I read one like that, but somehow this one seems much sadder. Great job.

I started writing something on fanfiction.net where he was getting married and she was in the wedding, it was kind of a take off of My Best Friend's Wedding. But I don't remember writing something like that on LJ . I did write once where she had died and he was sitting at her grave, she was married to someone else.

Yeah, that was a good one. I loved the one where he went to say goodbye to her at her grave. The "My Best Friend's Wedding" wasn't as angsty, but it was so cute. I must've read the one where she opens his wedding invitation on FFN.

Yeah, I can totally see him doing that. In a way that's better than dragging some some poor woman into a loveless marriage with him. Even if he did find someone else, part of him would always be waiting for Joan. So they might go through 20-25 years of marriage to others, become widows and then find each other again.
