Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

There's been some rain in Athens but no thunderstorms. I hate losing power.

You should really watch it sometime because it's very realistic. It's on DVD.  :- )

I'm sure I"ll catch it.  BTW, I knew I recognized the guy in She's Too Young.  He played Lars on JoA.

Yeah, but on "Everwood" he didn't get the girl.  I guess he didn't of JoA, either, come to think of it.

That was the same guy? Why didn't I realize that? LOL

Anyway, I went to see Mamma Mia in the theaters yesterday and it was GREAT!!! This movie was really worth to watch in the theaters and I'm happt that I had the chance to catch it without stupid dubbing. We certainly had a blast and I actually think Amanda Seyfried is a good singer. I'm going to buy the soundtrack and I can't wait for the DVD. :dancing:

Yeah, that's him.  Mike Erwin:   http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0991437/

But he's been on the Ghost Whisperer, too.  So we must never speak of him again.;)

Heh.  Agreed, Carol.  Anne, my boss is raving about Mama Mia too.  I also want to see it in the theater.

Yeah, you just HAVE to see this on a big screen, at least once. We had such a blast! I bought the Soundtrack from Amazon yesterday and I can't wait until it arrives here! :dancing:

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

More Chris co-stars on Lifetime tonight.  Well, kinda.  He didn't have any scenes with Vincent Kartheiser or Linda Cardellini, but still.  And hey, Andy Garcia's in it too.  Sounds cool.  It's called The Unsaid and it's on at 9 PM Eastern.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Justin Timberlake talks about Open Road and one of his co-stars from that film.

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/08/15/ju … who-is-it/

The talent, the moves, the hot girlfriends: A generation of kids want to grow up to be Justin Timberlake. But who does Justin Timberlake emulate?

Would you believe The Dude? (Or el Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing).

"I looked at him and said 'I want to be you when I grow up!'" the former N*Sync star (and future Oscar host?) told MTV News about his "Open Road" co-star Jeff Bridges. "Just to work with someone who's been [acting] that well for so long and still to be so collaborative and into it as much as I was [was impressive]. He is, without a doubt, my favorite actor I've ever worked with. He's the best."

Hear THAT Mike Myers?

(We kid, of course. Everyone knows that Mike Myers doesn't hear anything these days because the sound of failure is so loud.)

But back to Timberlake. We've seen the 27-year-old do drama ("Black Snake Moan" and "Southland Tales") We've seen him do comedy (or something approximating comedy, anyway, in "The Love Guru.") But "Open Road," which JT stars in alongside Bridges and Kate Mara, is really the first film he's ever done that fuses the two, Timberlake said.

"It's actually my first film that's really a dramedy," the actor insisted. "It really has both elements of comedy and drama. It's kind of a slice of life type film."

In the film, Timberlake plays an estranged son of a baseball legend (Bridges) who, together, embark on a road trip across America.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I actually think Justin Timberlake isn't a bad actor at all, and i've heard that the only funny scenes in this movie only comes from him.

I won't buy it, but i know that i'll end up seeing it sometime or even buy it when its cheaper than cheap.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I will buy the 1 disc edition since the Special Edition 2nd disc is nothing but the digital copy, which I have no use for.

I agree with you that Justin is a fairly good actor. Been a fan of his acting since AD. I will say that his best acting is a close tie between AD and Southland Tales. I really like his acting in the Southland Tales musical segment where even in a drugged out craze he goes from that to a symbol of self loathing and tragedy by the end of the song.

I own all of his films so far on DVD and will admit his worst film is Edison (Force), but I blame the writer/director for that more so than the actors.

I knew Fogler was in it, but I didn't know about the others.  Don't know whether to be happy for them, or sad for Chris that he's not in it.

Sounds very cool!  With Eugene Levy playing Yasgur, the guy who owned the farm where the concerts took place, it'll probably be hilarious.
