Since Infestation won't be there, eh, I find that I don't really care anymore.  I'll be focusing my energies on a play and possible movie screening in LA.  wink

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I'm trying to watch this movie on cable with Anna Faris, but it's incredibly stupid.  Plus, I hate when characters waste tremendous amounts of weed in movies.  Not funny.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I think he was too high on caffeine. Wish he didn't talk so fast, I only understood half of what he said. smile But, yes, very cool video. Glad he's also asking people to vote and to pay attention to what's going on in their country.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Just bought a cheap Southland Tales. Never seen it before it wasn't much and does have some good stars in. Alpha Dog co-star Justin Timberlake and Race to Witch Mountain co-star Dwayne Johnson among them.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I really like Southland Tales.

It's one of my favorite movies.

I will say it is confusing at times and strange as well.

If you need any explanations of what is happening I maybe able to help.

I think Justin gives his best performance in this film. Even better than in Alpha Dog. The Killers musical sequence is just terrific, especially his performance.

LOL. That's really great. I still can't believe I saw this in a German theater over a year ago, and in the US it's not even out yet.

It's already out on DVD here in the UK. I'm hoping to get it at some point.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Just had to share this because it made me smile, and that's not easy these days...

51Js3mHnnpL._SS400_.jpg

AICN's sweet little review of my favorite movie of all time...

Very Possibly my favorite Time Travel film ever made. I love Pal's THE TIME MACHINE, but frankly – this story is even better. The idea of H.G. Wells tracking Jack The Ripper to modern San Francisco – falling in love with a feminist bank teller and doing battle with the ripper. BLISS. Bliss because David Warner is fucking depraved evil. Bliss because Malcolm McDowell is the cutest possible version of H.G. Wells ever. And BLISS because Mary Steenburgen was a woman you'd risk it all for. She's a woman that the idea of losing would break your heart, that would make you humble yourself before others for. Also – the commentary by Malcolm McDowell, David Warner and Nicholas Meyer… yeah. I'm not big on commentaries, but this is one of them that I couldn't resist and was rewarded for. Brilliant little film. Absolutely fantastic.

It was great.  All through it, I kept thinking that Chris could've played that part really well too.

Amber in uniform. Wow! Or is that just a jacket she's wearing for whoever she's busting there?

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

NYPD detectives do wear those jackets when they go on busts like that.  Usually with a bulletproof vest underneath.  There's a nother pic of her on IMDB in the precint house wearing a white blouse, no uniform.  I still say she's too young for a gold shield, but whatever, it's TV.  I'm sure her character is just so brilliant and talented that she earned in a couple of years what takes most cops several years to earn.

I've been perusing her IMDb board and it's full of typically rude garbage:  she's fat, her teeth are crooked, she's ugly, she's bisexual, she's a ho, she's pregnant.  Jeebus!  People suck.
