Don LaFontaine dead at 68

Mr. Voiceover died yesterday from what's believed to be a collapsed lung.  It's a sad day in Hollywood sad

Yeah, I read about that.  Definite suckage.  He will be missed.  Of course Pablo Francisco does a great impression of him.  And he's not working much lately...

I wonder how many will only remember Don for that Geico commercial?

I own the Smokey & the Bandit films on DVD, so know who Jerry Reed is(was).

I wonder who might be the third one since they tend to die in 3's?

Anyways, RIP to both of them.

I only know his face because of the Geico commercial, but of course his voice is and always has been instantly recognizable.

Jerry Reed is someone I grew listening to.  My folks loved him.  I have the Jerry Reed Essentials on CD.  My favorite song of his will always be Amos Moses --- one of the most entertaining story songs ever.  And Thing Called Love.  What a beautiful song.  I'm sure somewhere in American, Burt Reynolds is crying.  sad
