That is Bloom in the second pic.

FYI; I've seen pics where Shia's character is shot & bleeding on steps, so that may make some happy. LOL.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I saw the trailer for this and it sure does look interesting.

Having Kevin Bacon, John Hurt, Shia LaBeouf, Cloris Leachman, Maggie Q and Anton Yelchin in the same film definatly keeps me interested. big_smile

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Sheephead ruins it for me, and that's sad as hell, because the rest of the cast rocks.

Shia ruins it for me too. Whenever I see him in a movie I cringe.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

More about Amber's new show...

A comedic drama set in an NYPD precint. Things revolve around Tamblyn's character, NYPD detective Casey Shraeger, the black sheep of her wealthy famliy. When she's unexpectedly transferred to the homicide division, she lands smack in the middle of a group of interesting folks who are by turns: nursing a brain tumor, terrified of dying, deeply religious, and lusting after a fellow cop. The show's scheduled for a 2009 release.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I'm in awe of her.  She's so much more than most people know.  Did you guys know there's a biography of her out there?  I'd like to read it.  I ordered her poetry book today.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Are you guys talking about Free Stallion or did she come out with a new one?  Free Stallion is so weird but really good.  I don't understand like... half of the poems.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yes, Free Stallion.  I don't find it necessary to understand Amber.  I just like the crazy way she puts words together.  She amazes me with her completely whackadoodle thought processes.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

So I'm reading this interview that Mr. Beaks at AICN did with Chris Sarandon, in conjunction with the midnight screening of Fright Night.  And looky what they ended up talking about...

Beaks: So what are you up to now? I see that you did a production of CYRANO DE BERGERAC.

Sarandon: We closed at the end of January. Since then, I did a pilot for ABC called THE UNUSUALS, which just got picked up. It's about a female detective. I play her rather rich and disapproving father. She comes from a Park Avenue background, and he is a very wealthy mogul. Joanna Cassidy, who is a rather spectacular actress, plays her mother. We get to play husband and wife for the first time ever. And that's it at the moment! Otherwise, it's the old actor's life. You're just out there looking for work.

I think I'm gonna love this show based on the cast.  Wonder if Sony's got something to do with it.  Sarandon was on Judging Amy for a while and now he and Amber end up in a series together?  Cool.

She does look good in the blues.  Papa Girardi would be proud big_smile.

Anybody know what day/time this is gonna be on?  It's not listed anywhere on IMDb.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Deb told me it was picked up as a mid-season replacement. So first they gotta air something that sucks and gets cancelled mid-season. Then Amber's show comes in. We won't know when it's gonna show for a while.

Hahaha. That just made me laugh. smile (Sometimes I can't believe that we're in Year 3 after the cancellation ...)

I hope Amber's show will ROCK TV business!
